Everybody okay?

I have seen reports that they are now calling this the Great Christmas Flood of 2009.

It finally stopped raining here earlier today (actually yesterday now since it's past 12 am - so it's technically Chritmas Day).  Now it is lightly snowing outside - just enough to dust the ground.

I can't tell what the radar says is coming - more snow/rain/mix or just cold front.

We lost power for a few minutes a few times throughout the day, but it's on now.

I didn't leave the house today, but I've seen pictures of how bad some of the flooding is and heard about it from my family members who tried to go to Little Rock today.

We were going to go to Texarkana tomorrow to see hubby's granny - but I know they are advising everyone to stay in their homes until things dry up some more.  So who knows what we'll do.

In any event, we're okay here.  How about everyone else?

Edited to add:

PS  Merry Christmas.

Good morning and Merry Christmas!

Wow, what a mess yesterday was. We weren't sure we'd be able to get out of our neighborhood, so  Gary took off in the truck to scope things out. He found a route to get us passed all of the mess on I-30.
The kids  couldn't get to the kennel near our house where they were boarding their dogs, so an emergency plan had to go into effect there. FINALLY we got out and headed to Nashville for our get  away weekend. The roads were horrible, the rain hardly ever let up, and our 5 hour trip took us 6 1/2 hours.

BUT, here we are, in bed at the Sheraton Nashville, drinking  a Buck's latte and enjoying the morning. We're headed to Opry Grand Hotel for the day, then bundling up like the Michelin Tire Man for the San Diego Charger/ TN Titan game. What fun!!!!!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday.

Susan
