Get baby spoons. And maybe a sippy cup. He'll have to take very small bites of food and sip fluids, no gulping or big swallows allowed.

You might want him to take his own pillow, no one sleeps better than with their own. If he's on a CPAP, make sure to take that. He'll need it in recovery.

I bought a small shot glass type measuring glass/cup to measure foods, I also took all of the extra disposable measuring cup (medicine cups) that they give you in the hospital so that I could measure my food at home.

Susan is so right. Get a few baby spoons. All he can eat will fit on that spoon. Tiny bits and be sure to tell him to take SMALL sips. I used one of those electric candle warmers to keep my food warm because it too me soooooo long to eat my food, it would get cold before I could fini**** A saucer fits just right on it. And all the food he will be able to eat will fit on that saucer. Trust me. Tell him good luck on his journey.

And by the way, I use to live in Pocahontas. My husband and I worked at Brown Shoe Company before they shut it down.
