Home again!!

Hey guys, just wanted to let everyone know Im home. It has been a long and hard week, but home now to rest in my bed.  Came in from school last week, thinking it was allergies, spent my entire weekend in bed and then to the hospital on Monday. 
Lungs were full and had to do multiple doses of IV steroids, lots of IV antibiotics and lots of praying.
I went in the hospital on Monday weighing 159 and came out today weighing 170!!  I ate nothing extra, didnt even eat snacks, just the food they brought me.  GOD I HATE STEROIDS!!!! 
Im back to my routine now, w/15 days of oral steroids yet to take!!

Thanks for all your thoughts prayers, and well wishes.  I will be sporadic as the meds make it hard to concentrate.  Love you all,

Hope your well again soon.  Yeah those steroids are terrible.  I always gained weight when I was admitted from those IV steroids.  What did they say you had?  Was it an exacerbation? 

Take it easy and get some rest so you will be up and better soon :)

Well Praiz God you are home and I'm glad to here that. I will continue to keep you in prayer for a complete healing. 

I took steriods a couple of days for my low blood pressure before calling the DR & telling him I'd have to take something else becuase they were making me so hungry.  (I do salt tablets daily  now instead.)  I didn't gain weight from the steriods - but if I had stayed on them (and the ravishing hunger they caused) I probably would have.  But I know some people do gain weight on steriods just from being on them.

BUT the GOOD thing about that sort of weight gain is that it will fall off immediately when you STOP taking the steriods.  No body stays @ 170 lbs that is not taking in enough calories to maintain that 170 lbs.  A body only stays at ANY weight that it is taking in enough calories to maintain.
