Hey everyone,

I haven't posted in a while but I hope to meet some of you at the walk.  I have registered for Luttrell Surgical since they did my lapband surgery, but I hope to meet some of you from this board.

Hugs,

Linda

Linda,

It doesn't matter which team you joined just as long as you are able to join. I am just trying to get everyone to join. There is not enough done about obesity. We all support the cancer walks and diabetes and then there are other walks for other things.....more attention needs to be brought to the surface in regards to obesity.....

I asked for a donation last year at a business that donates to me for the diabetes walk I usually do....that person suggested "fat" people exercise more....they were clueless I have had surgery. I was horrified and will never ask for donations again unless it is someone who personally knows my struggle.

Anyhow, glad you joined and look forward to seeing you there.....how will we know each other.....I dont know......just look for me.....I am the midget of the bunch....lol.

hugs
Tammy

I love that everyone is excited about the walk!!  I honestly want a huge turn out for this walk so I have told everyone I know.  Recruited my immediate family, posted on facebook, put up flyers at my job, posted it on my blog... When I get rolling, it takes a mountain to stop me!

I'll be there along with my mother (who is also overweight) and my sister (who is younger and very very slim) for sure.  I'm the over 6' tall redhead.  Complete opposite of Tabs! haha! :)

I signed up with Bakers Brigade since he's the doctor I've chosen to do my surgery.  I will definately try to find the ladies and gents who are doing it here though and say hello!

glad you will be walking too.

Its ok if you joined another team....of course we want you on ours but as ut stands we are the only private team (not a docs office) in the top 4....sadly we are #4....its ok....no one is here to out do the other.....

we are here to support each other.

Had I known about this forum before I signed up for the walk, I definately would have signed up for this team!  Dr. Baker got me at his seminar.  Sneaky!

Definately will keep one eye down for you Tabs!  I'll wear a shirt or something with my screenname on it so everyone will know, haha!

Great job on the fundraising Nancy... I'm jealous!
