Good morning everyone!

Whew!  So glad to be home, but so very grateful to have had the opportunity to go to Dallas to bond with the amazing women from the Over 50 Forum. There we were, seventeen crazy gals celebrating one lady's 65th birthday. Most had met, four of us were new to the group and welcomed with opened arms and hearts.

I stepped out of my WLS box, wondering how I'd do without my scale and fitday(no time to journal) and found that life DOES go on, and even though I ate things I wouldn't normally, and drank (yes, alcohol!), I know that today the vacation is over, and these feet are back on the track!

Today is my 3year surgiversary and I plan on celebrating it by going back to the rules and reflecting on where I was and how far I've come.

So.....how is YOUR Monday?

FORGOT TO TELL YOU....SAINTBELLA.ETSY.COM IS UP AND RUNNING......GO CHECK IT OUT!

Happy belated surgiversary!  You are such an inspiration to us all. :)

I am so glad you had a wonderful time in Dallas.  I did something similar a couple years ago with some ladies I know from a message board, and it was SO much fun.  Yay!

Thanks for the good wishes....the more of these surgiversaries, the less it gets hyped. Not that it's a bad thing, perhaps it just means I'm adjusting to life and living "normally" so it's less of a big deal. Who knows.

While I was in Dallas I realized a couple of things;

I DON'T have to weigh myself daily (yes, I know, do as I say, not as I DO) I can  induldge in previously taboo foods and the world doesn't come to an end, and journaling every bite isn't the only way to keep on track. When the weekend was over and I got home, I was right back on track and doing well. So, it's okay to have a good time, as long as that good time doesn't last too long....lol!

There were 17 of us there, and my roommate and I were the smallest of them all. Probably half of them had experienced some weight regain of some sort, one as much as 50 lbs. There were many stories of cross addictions and how they're dealing with that, and many, many stories of the joy of the new lives WLS has given them. It was a wonderful, inspiring and loving weekend. My only regret was that it had to end.

Hope you got that run in you were wanting so badly. I wish this rain would stop, already!!!!  I'm getting webbed feet here
