BCBS of Arkansas

does anyone have any info about bcbs of arkansas? i am trying to help a friend.

Hi Tenisha,  It all depends on which type of policy her company chose.  Some opt to cover WLS and some exclude it from their policy.  We had BCBS at Golden Living and they had a rider that excluded the surgery.  She needs to look at her policy it will tell her there if they cover it or not or just have her call customer service and ask them.

My son works for BCAR and told me a month ago or so they no longer cover ANY WLS. That's not to say that if she has an existing policy they wouldn't cover it  under those terms. They're just going to have to contact them and find out.
