I am still alive, and kicking.
Kicking cigaretts as we speak. It has been hard, I maybe slow but I am sure...
Someone spread a little fairy dust my way, please?

Hang in there.  I kicked the habit in March.  Just threw them down and haven't picked one up since.

I figured if my mom could quit, who has been smoking for 62 years at 2 cartons a week, then it shouldn't be a problem for me.

 Stay Strong!!!!!

You can do this!!!  I quit cold turkey over 20 years ago. Now, whenever I go near somone who smokes it makes me ill. So glad I got rid of them before it ruined my health, and at today's prices..my wallet!

Keep it up!

Yes I'm still here. And yes have been very busy. I guess that's just not an excuse huh? Well, I'm fine. Had my one year physical with my pcp and everything is good. Don't have to go back for a year. During a recent family birthday party, I saw one of my nieces that had moved away and then moved back.  I hadn't seen her since before I had surgery. She practically didn't know me. She just couldn't believe it was me. So that was great. I've always wanted a leather jacket for winter but was always too big to wear one. I tried one on over the weekend and boy did I like it. So now I'm saving up my money to get one. Trying to get stuff ready for a yard sale with my daughter. I hate, hate, hate, getting ready for a yard sale. Lot of work.
Ya'll take care and stay cool out there.

Gary did our last yard sale. Told me on Friday afternoon he was having one on Sat morning. Made about $200 and I didn't lift a finger!!  Yipeeeeeeee

I think some of the best wow moments come from seeing people who haven't seen you for a long time. It's that look on their faces that make you realize how far you've come.

I bought my first leather jacket last year....and black leather boots. My calves were always too big for the boots. Not anymore!!  Watch JC Penney's sales. My jacket was about 50% off when I bought it, and there was still plenty of time left to wear it before it got too hot.

Hugs to ya!

I spent all Saturday in Little Rock at the big concert!!  Edgefest V!  I got to see many bands (Mudvayne and Korn were the 2 big headliners!!).  I got heat exhaustion several times and had to sit in the shade.  At one point after dark I went and sat near the ambulance for fear of passing out.  Lots and lots of people were carried out of the crowds passed out from heat.  Near the end of the night one guy carried a girl out of the crowd and had to do CPR on her while someone else went to the ambulance.

Anytime someone passed out or got weak, several other concert goers would help pull them out of the crowd and get them water, I was very surprised at how helpful people were.  This is the kind of concerts where the people mosh and throw each other around and drink lots of beer and act like fools, well yeah they were doing that to, but everyone treated everyone else like they knew each other or something.  And, to make things even nicer than seeing some of my fave bands, was that Saturday was also my 2 year post-op anniversary!!  Woohoo!  I got my pic taken twice for the 100.3 edge website and my roomie/partner Robbie got LOTS of pics taken cause he dyed his hair spring green color, LOL!!

One of my coworkers went to that concert and had a great time. So glad to hear people were looking out for one another.

Congrats on your surgiversary. I can't believe it's been two years already!  Are you walking this year at the Walk? Hope to see you there.

Im here, just still nursing the ankle, and I just dont sit here much anymore.  Bout the only time I sit down at the computer is when Im doing an updraft treatment for my asthma.
Mike and I are going to try and make a run to Benton to the Western Tack store and get me a new saddle for state, and possibly a new shirt.  Qualifying to go to state is turning into quite an expense!!!
Im in the ankle brace all the time now, even slept in it the other night b/c it felt better on than off.  Mike is getting used to it, he told me the other day if I were a cow, they would shoot me, cuz I have black leg (brace is black).  Some days I think it would be ok to cut it off.

Off to rest again, ya'll have fun,
Rhonda
