First of all, I want to welcome any Newbies from last night that might be popping in to see what we're all about. It was a great meeting, lots of good questions and discussion. We only had 11 (including me) in the post op room, we truly missed those of you who couldn't make it. But, we did have three New Post-Ops join our group. Great fun!

The Walk From Obesity is Sept 26, River Market, 9:00 a.m.  Participation in the Walk qualifies for credit for a support group meeting for those of you who are Baker Babies. THERE WILL NOT BE A MEETING AT BAPTIST IN SEPTEMBER  The Walk takes place of the meeting.

I'm hoping to have a guest speaker in October, since I will have company coming in that day from San Diego. So, put that on your calendar.

Alright then, now the final thing.....WHERE THE HECK IS EVERYONE??? AND WHY IS THIS BOARD DYING/???  THIS MAKES ME SAD.

I have noticed that not many people are posting anymore.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a support group that meets around hot springs/malvern area?

Shoot!  I can't make it to LR for the meetings.  I might have to look into starting one in this area.

Wonder how I would go about it?

I know what you mean.  It's hard for me to get to Springdale to the meetings there.  Our doctor is starting one in Ft. Smith for the sleeve people though.  I will definitely check that one out.

Hey Susan!  I'm a "newbie" from last night.  Wanted to let you know it was great seeing such awesome inspirations from the post-op patients!  I can't wait until I could be able to join you with great success stories like all the ones from last night.

Also, isn't the walk at 8 am?  The flyer I got from Dr. Baker said Sept. 26 @ 0800.

Excuse me, Miss You've been too busy to Post Much Yourself Lately!!!  I guess you're getting too fancy what with that gorgeous new pic you put up and everything, lol.  I'm just too boring to pull 'em in, Susan.  I have been diligently posting my boring days though.   Speaking of such... I am feeling very virtuous right now thank you very much.  I went to the gym for the first time today after work and had a blast.  One of the ladies I work with was still there when I arrived and she showed me all the machines.  A personal trainer will work with me soon to help set up a program for me.  I'm already getting stiff and sore, groannnnn.  Ya'll have a good weekend.  Love you all.

Yes, Sybul, you have been posting a lot and I appreciate it. It takes more than just one or three to keep things going. I've been thinking about posting silly and absurd just to see if anyone would read it...LOl

I know everyone is busy, what with work, school, and LIFE. It just feels lonely around here without the whole "gang". I'm sure you know what I mean.

Congratulations on getting to the gym. I checked one out last week, but with the taxes due, my trip to Dallas, and company coming, I'm just not sure I can afford it right now. We'll have to wait and see.

Once I do start, I'm NOT looking forward to sore muscles. But wait....I HAVE no muscles to get sore!
