Im here, and thankful to be so!!!

Had a great Saturday, had a horse show in Camden and Mike and I both won 1st place.

Today has been a hard day.  One of our dear friends who comes to the barn passed away suddenly today at church.  Such a wonderful person, never seemed to have any issues, just fell out.  We must all be ready, that is the one thing in this life we cant avoid.

So while dealing w/that, I got on Mikes 10 year old stud, and was just pleasure riding, horse flies got to him, and he dumped me on my right hip.  Trust me, we DONT bounce anymore!!!  So Im pretty sore but not broken, and just thankful.

The week will get better, ankle still giving me much grief, going to the doc tomorrow to have a long chat about this foot, its swelling alot and turning dark sometimes.  Time to do something different.  Maybe I'll learn to stay off of it and behave!!! NOT!!

Hope all has a great week, sposed to rain here all week.  Glad you are better Sus!!

Love to you all, and I MEAN that,
Rhonda D.

She died at church??? Oh my gosh, how awful for everyone there!

Glad you werent hurt when you took the tumble. Let us know what happens with the foot. You say it gets discolored?  Hmmmm, that doesn't sound good, my dear.

You know how to live, girl!

By just having surgery I get out of a lot of "stuff".  Vacuuming, taking out the trash, carrying groceries. Hmmm, wonder how long I can milk this?  LOL

Take care, glad to see you around

Yes, I'm here.  I posted on your last post.  Not meaning to get all mushy or anything but I sure am counting my blessings lately too.  I'm fitter and able to do things now that I haven't been able to do in the past 10-15 years.  I might complain about my sore, aching body but it's glorious to be able to get tired from doing things I couldn't do before.  Eddie talked our ears off last night.  Three weeks is the longest he has ever been away from us since we inherited him at six weeks old.  It sure was awfully quiet around here while he was gone.  Now that the room is finally finished, we need to play catch up around the house and get the dust and grime cleaned up and then move on to the yard.  Eddie was so excited about his room he volunteered to mow the yard.  It's not very often our 16 y/o volunteers for anything, lol.  Now I really do need to rush and get in the shower and head for work.  Everyone have a good day.

Sybul, mushy is GOOD!  We all need to remember the gift we've been given and be grateful. It's when we take this gift for granted that we get ourselves into trouble. It's when you think you have the upper hand on things and before you know it, you're approaching the place you came from before WLS.

Sounds like Eddie is one lucky kid. Glad he's in your life.

Susan, milk it as long as you can! I'm using my arthritic knee to wangle a downstairs office for my new position at work so I can be FAR away from Her Majesty The Queen aka my boss and the owner of the company. LOL Not that I'm exaggerating, but hey, whatever works. Stupid knee is really giving me fits, even after that whacking huge steroid shot a week ago.

Sybul, good for you! I am so looking forward to feeling able to not just do things but really wear myself out from doing them and not be exhausted just because I'm fat. Congrats on your 16 yr old's volunteer spirit! Get it while the gettin's good. LOL
