I'm home, alive and well, and it's FRIDAY!!!
Well, other than gaining 7 lbs in a day (reminds me of life pre-wls), I feel pretty good. I'd like to find the guy that kicked me in the gut, though!
Everything went well, and of course, I'm doing too much already. Right now, I'm going back to be and try to be good.
So.....what's going on with all of YOU this lovely weekend???
Susan
I'm glad everything is ok. I know you must be very sore. You know to take it easy, I know your not, so I'm not going to say it, because that would just make me waste my breath...LOL. But Please try....
Today we are getting new tires on the car. My husband is on the road a lot with his job, so about every nine to ten months we have to get new tires.
Tomorrow, My hubby, son, and I are going to the Imax in LR to see Transformers2, then out to eat and then to the American Idol concert. Should be a fun day!!
Hope everyone has a great weekend...
Ann
Sounds like you're going to have a really fun weekend. You'll have to tell us all about the concert.
Thanks for being here!
Susan
Welcome home Susan. Glad you have this behind you (at least the worst part) and are on the mend. Just try not to overdo. Hope your recovery is smooth and easy to the extent posssible.
Ann, I hope you enjoy the movie and the concert. I am reasonably sure you won't enjoy buying the tires.
Not much new for me. Finishing up the week at work - still no news -and that is a good thing, I think?? Going to play golf in the morning with my daughter. She is working hard on her golf skills. It won't be long til she's gonna be teaching me instead of me teaching her. Lot's of fun to watch her learn and see how excited she is about the game. Reminds me of "me" many, many years ago.
Gotta run. Hope everyone has a great week-end.
Steve
Life here has been on a roller coaster this week. Tuesday I went to a grant writing workshop, learned ALOT, and am excited about helping write grants to improve our little community. I am on our DASH team (Dallas County Supporting Health) and I work hard to promote being healthy and we found several grants to help do that.
I found out last week that my job is ending in August, and so I was kinda stressing over what I was gonna do, Ive gotten to like that extra $1k a month, so I signed up to be a substitute teacher in Fordyce Schools, and to be honest, Im EXCITED about it. I love kiddos and cant have my own, so now I get to give back to the community and play w/kids!!! And get paid at the same time. Another perk is that if I work enough, I will qualify for teacher retirement, even as a sub. Woo Hoo!!
Glad you are doing ok Sus, but DONT over do, like Im sure you already have!!
We have a horse show tomorrow, at our club, so that means for me, work from 10:30 till 10 minutes before I ride, then ride, and back to work, but its worth it. Only 2 more shows before I come to Little Rock on Labor Day weekend to show. Thats my weekend, Sunday is church and then Monday is back to work for a few more weeks.
Everyone have fun and be safe.
Love you all,
Rhonda D., who is NO LONGER job hunting!!!
