Morning, what's new?

Well, the fact that it's as hot as Hades isn't new, that's for sure!  Gary and I, the Californian's that we are, didn't undo our hoses before winter and both of them expolded one day. Now we have to get new hoses and star****ering. Glad it's payday.

What is new is I have a new friend living with me. Henrietta the Hernia came for a visit about a week ago, went to see the pcp yesterday, and yup, calling Gibbs today for an appointment. Such is life. Not something in my summer plans, but  it is what it is. I had him look at the burn on my neck (curling iron) and he was more worried about that than anything else. I must have scratched it and now it's infected and the size of a ping pong ball. Antibiotics have already started working, swelling going down this morning!

I've lost those pesky 3 lbs I was griping about at the meeting. Dropped my calories, upped my protein, and there you are!  I LOVE my rny!!!!!

Hope you all have a dandy and indoor weekend!  Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there, too!

Morning,
Wow Susan, if it ain't one thing it is something else isn't it.  Are you going to have surgery on Henrietta?  That burn sounds nasty. Hope everything heals up soon.

I hate this hot weather.  We have a lot of company coming in Saturday. We have a circle drive and in the middle we just got finished re-doing it. We had dirt hauled in and we finally got it spread and put down grass seed and straw. Now we got a pretty good stand of grass out there. Then we built a fire pit out of decorative bricks. Then we put some tree stumps that we had around the pit so we can cook hotdogs and stuff. Then we put our picnic table, out porch swing that is on a frame, and a concrete bench, and our regular bbq grill out there. It looks really good. So we are breaking it in this weekend. There is usually a breeze out there. I sure hope so since it is going to be 96 tomorrow. But we won't cook till late. We are cooking hot dogs over the fire, a boston butt on the grill, and making homemade ice cream. I'm sure the kids will be making smores too. It will be fun. All my kids, grandkids, and my sisters and their families will be here.

So what it everyone else doing this weekend?
Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like quite the party you have planned.   And lots of work already done to get it ready.  I suddenly feel the need to lay down and take a nap just thinking about all the work you have done.

I am with you on the indoor weekend.  It is really starting to feel like summer around here.  Not much new to report from me.  Planning a fairly quiet weekend with some Father's Day company on Sunday.   Looking forward to some quiet time at home this weekend.   Hope everyone has a good one.

Well, today was spent in Camden, working at my fil's place.  I didnt go work out today, BUT.... I did push mow two yards and walked bout 3 miles up and down his driveway for exercise.  It was hot as HECK but just got up a good sweat.  Sweat 4 gallons, drink 3 gallons of water!!!  I have never liked summer, as a matter of fact the only thing I like about it is Horse Show Season.

Came home, fixing to run to town to get a bite to eat, tired and too lazy to cook.  Horse show tomorrow in Magnolia and Im riding!!!  Will let you know how all that goes tomorrow.  Im hoping for first place, but will be happy w/second, but nothing less.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, Susan, take care of that neck, that sounds very scary.  Everyone stay cool and pray for me, I ride tomorrow around 2:30 and I'll be on a black horse, in black jeans and a black shirt!!! Not the smartest, but is the only shirt that I have that is long sleeved and has a collar.  Will be getting dressed 10 minutes before my event, and stripping back to shorts and a tank as soon as I can get back to the trailer!!!

Love you all,
Rhonda D. the suddenly very active one!!!

Happy Fathers Day to all of our dads!! Thanks for all you do.

I hope your burn heals quickly and I hope everything goes well with the hernia.  Maybe you'll get lucky.  We've been really busy.  Work, work, work.  I was in Conway three days last week for more training and forgot my own surgery anniversary.  I can't believe it's been a year already.  It's true what they say "what a difference a year makes".  I haven't lost a pound this past month though.  I've been really sedentary since surgery.  I am feeling better now and plan to get back to my exercise program.  I still have about 30 lbs to go and I bet I'll have to really work at it to get them off.  I'm looking at all the loose skin on my arms and legs and hoping like heck exercise will help.  I've already decided not to do the plastic surgery.  I'm a ninny and I'm still  in shock over my $64,000. gall bladder, lol.  Ya'll have a good weekend and don't get too hot.

I hear you on the slowdown.  The scale's not moving much for me anymore, either.  It's a little sad to see it end, huh?

I'm sorry to hear about  your burn and hernia.  That sucks for real, Susan.  Congrats on the weight loss though!

Happy Father's day Steve.

Your yard sounds lovely Ann.

Congratulations Sybul on your Surgiversary.

As for here...just busy working in the heat...I try not to think about how hot it is as I deliver mail.  We have the little kids here until Wednesday this week.  So that's almost a housefull again except for one other boy has gone to bandcamp for the week.

Today (Father's day) we cleaned the DH's truck for him and I cooked quite a bit.  We are heading to the Travelers game this evening.  The youngest boy is a baseball player in little league so he's excited.

Lots of changes at work.  They have eliminated 3 routes, so I'm losing my route as I'm junior to one carrier that lost his route...so I'll have a new route within the next 3 weeks.  I just hope it's still at Sherwood.

Still trying to decide the type of exercise that's best for me.  I feel pretty good though...hoping I see more weight off when I go see Dr. Gibbs July 2nd.
