My advice......make sure you are where you want to be weight wise. I have a lift and implants in 2007 and had to be lifted again in 2008 due to another 20lb weight loss( which i regained again).
My total cost on just that surgery almost 9 grand. You can get financing through carecredit.com and also some other credit cards offer it as well....i requested 8500 and was approved for 6000 and paid 2500 cash the day of surgery. My re lift was 300 and done in the dr.s office and i was awake, just on valium.

be prepared for longer recovery for the tummy tuck. I was back at work with the implants and lift the next week. That is all I have done. I had it done in Memphis. You must make sure the dr you choose is board certified. RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH.....the dr. You will need to buy sports bras in advance.....several of them......different styles and so on finding the ones that zip in the front was hard for me.....no one sold them. You will need transportation from the procedure, you will need asistance at home. I found sleeping difficult in the bed and slept on my love seat.. I eventaully bought a wedge pillow and slept on an incline. Also be prepared for many follow ups in the first year, also in the first couple months.

Good luck
Tammy

Hi! I had brachioplasty (arm lift) done over Spring Break in March....its been about six weeks now I guess. Honestly, the pain was not very bad at all....they sent me home with thirty pain pills and I only took 3 total and one of those was required by the hospital before I left since I have such a long drive to get back home...I live a little over 2 hours away from Little Rock. Anyway, I am VERY pleased with the results from my arm lift. The scar is kinda big but it is fading and turning lighter very quickly. I think here in another few months it will be faded to where it is almost unable to be seen. I had no complications from surgery....no infections and very minimal pain. The only complication that I have had is that the incision line under my right arm re-opened. However, this is very common and it caused no problems other than me keepng it covered with gauze during the day and its healing slowly so I'm sure it will be fine.

I am scheduled to have a tummy tuck and a breast lift (no implants) done May 27th in Little Rock. Dr. Robert Love is my surgeon and he is absolutely fabulous....in my opinion. He is very compassionate and I was extremely nervous about being naked in front of him but he made me feel very comfortable. He is not judgemental or critical....he tells you what areas need work and will explain what needs to be done and what all is involved. Also, he has no problem answering questions...he is very patient and will answer the same question several times if need be!

As a matter of fact, I go for my final consult and photos today at his office and then its just a waiting game until surgery day.

Honestly, the arms were a breeze for me. Dr. Love did tell me, however, that the tummy tuck and breast lift are more involved procedures so the recovery time will be longer and to expect more pain. I'm not too thrilled about that part but I can handle it I'm sure.

Anyway, thats about all I can think of at the moment. If you have any questions or just want to talk, please feel free to let me know. I will be more than happy to help in any way that I can! Take care and good luck!

I live in Marion.......not far from Jonesboro

My dr is Ronald Johnson at Wolf River Plastic Surgery in Germantown, www.cosmedex.com

good luck and remember healing times, pain and so on differ person to person. I have a very high tolerance to pain and meds so it was nothing too bad....I think having my kids was worse. I am bad to not take pain meds after 24 hrs and just take tylenol because my tolerance is so high I would have to double or triple my dose and with narcotic type drugs I dont like to do that . I also refuse to lay in bed and rest.....bad idea......do what your dr says.......I am just a rebel!
