I have moss growing on my feet! I swear, as much as I love rain(and I really do) I've just about had it. We got 4.6 inches of rain overnight, for heaven's sake!!!!

I everyone okay??? Hope you're not floating away or had any damage.

Sorry about the moss on the feet.  Too bad you don't just have webbed feet.  They might come in real handy these days.

Doing ok here.  Had a little roof damage last week resulting in a waterfall in my daughters bedroom.   Got to climb up a ladder in the pouring rain at 11:30 that night to get a tarp over the missing shingles.  Boy was that fun.   Spent yesterday fighting with the insurance company to get it repaired.  They seem to think the roofing company should be able to repair it for about half of what the roofing company thinks it will take.  You would think that after paying insurance company premiums for over 25 years with almost no claims, they might work with you in a reasonable manner.   But no, they are oh so worried over a few dollars for this and a few dollars for that.  Greed is greed, you know.   I am no roofing expert, but based on the attitudes I experienced with these guys, I am betting that the roofing company is right on this one.

Oh well, we will get it worked out.  I am very thankful that it is nothing major.  Just some hassles to get it taken care of.

I think I am going to google for a set of plans to build an ark today.  I know it took Noah a lot of years to build his, but if I build a smaller one and use today's technology, maybe I can build one faster.   I'll be taking orders for tickets if anyone wants a seat on my ark.

Sorry to hear about the roof damage Steve! That sure stinks! Sorry to hear you are having to hassle with the insurance company to have it repaired too. I'm sure that is a real pain. Hope everything works out for you!

BTW....I may be requesting more information about tickets for your Ark if this rain and flooding in my area doesn't let up!

Well, there are fewer animals to get together, so that will leave more room. Besides, who wants to clean up after them all???

Hope you got the roof fixed before this next go around comes.

Take care!

Hi Susan and everyone else! Well I am ok here in Eastern Arkansas....for the most part anyway. Last Saturday we had a lot of flooding...all our fields were underwater and our storage buildings (2 of them) flooded so we just finished cleaning them up. Then, at 2am this morning we went under a Tornado Warning so the whole family piled into the tornado cellar that we use on the farm...we ended up staying in there for a little over an hour. We have lots of limbs down and even one tree on the farm blew over....there was some damage to the barn and two of the tractor sheds but other than that we survived with no harm done. Thank God! We dont really think it was a tornado...probably just strong winds or something. As I left for work this morning, I noticed that the same two storage buildings that we just cleaned were flooded yet again....I think this time we will just wait for all the rain to get out of the forecast before we attempt to clean again.

Anyway, thats just a little bit of the news from my corner of the state. On all other accounts, I am doing just fine! Hope everyone else is as well. Take care and have a great day!

Oh yeah, almost forgot, I go back to see Dr. Love tomorrow at 4 for my final consult before my next round of plastic surgery....I am having my breasts done and a tummy tuck done at the same time on May 27th! I am so excited! Keep me in your thoughts and prayers please!

We are ok here in Hot Springs. Just a lot of water and some flooding here and there.  We got about the same amount of rain that you did. Just over four inches. When I took the dogs out this morning they were doing some high stepping because the yard is full of standing water.
Two weeks ago we planted some shrubs, flowers and a tree. Haven't had to water them since I planted them and they are doing great!!!!
My son headed off to work over on Central this morning but had to come back because of flooding. He just headed out to try it again. Hope he makes it this time.
Hope everyone is ok and hopefully the rain will head on out of here today.

Going to work was a mess for me yesterday, too. I-30 was bumper to bumper, so I decided to go Stagecoach. Well, Otter Creek had overflowed, so that's why I-30 was messed up, and guess what road goes over Otter Creek??  Yup, Stagecoach. Took me an hour to go 17 miles.

Seems to me I left that nonsense behind in San Diego!

I am here but sooooooo sick of rain!  WTH is going on, we may need to start on an ark soon.

I worked at the Fire Dept yesterday and had to drive home in the worst of it last night.

Also Susan sorry we did not connect on Friday, your messages came up late Saturday night!

As for me I have a broken washing machine and waiting on the contracted warranty repairman to show up still from Lowes, thinking it is not going to happen as it broke on Monday and now it is Wednesday and I have to be at work at 2 today.  The clothes I ran on Monday are still in there and stuck and wet!!!!!!  And of course now clothes piling that need washed, so I may have to go to the laundromat this weekend to get caught up.

Hope all is well for the rest of you!
