Glad you decided to join, I just joined myself and am pretty much in the same boat you are as far as waiting for surgery date, (mine is May 20) and I am also excited but scared at the same time...but, I  have to do this for my health so I really dont have that much of a choice...I want to enjoy life again.  
Congrats on joining us, you have chose a good group, these guys love to help each other...
