My 12 day stall ended yesterday. I was really worried and then I found out from this board that it was normal. Whew!! I have lost 42 pounds since April the 8th

That's great progress.  Cudo's to you.  Stalls can be caused for several reasons.  Not enough caloric intake, not enough water, not enough exercise, not enough protein, etc.  There is always someone here on the board who can answer your questions though.  That's what is so great about it.

Not to make your concerns seem like nothing, but you have lost 42 pounds and you were WORRIED?!?!?!  The only thing you should be worried about is whether your belt has any holes left because your pants are going to start falling off! You're doing awesome, your body will occasionally take a break to catch up with all of your weightloss. That's usually when you drop the sizes.

I once read an analogy on here. As you lose fat, it's like swiss cheese with holes all in it. While your body is in a "stall" it's reorganzing and filling in the holes which is why you see lots of inches going at that point and not when the numbers are dropping like crazy. Sure, it's not science, but it sounds good and the concept seems to hold true so I'll go with it =)

I've never heard that before, that really is a great analogy!

A stall is officially  defined as 6 weeks of no loss of weight or inches. You're not even 6 weeks post-op. Don't worry, be happy!
