hello......I am still here.

back in the gym....riding spin bike on my own.....lifting weights....still studying to get certified as a personal trainer.....but I am still fighting my weight. I am back up to 168.5....I have 20 pounds that comes and goes.......

If I never train a single person I am getting certified to take care of myself and to accomplish something. The trainer at my gym is a real snobby bit*h.....she has been certified for 2 yrs and is not that good at her job.....but she is very insensitive......she made a comment about her job....
she said....""" I HAVE TO BE SKINNY I AM A PERSONAL TRAINER "'"" .....Well......let me tell you this...if you have no compassion with people fighting their weight then you can not be a trainer. You should never make comments like that in this situation!!!! I was horrified.....

compassion is part of training people.....its uncomfortable....its hot.....its humilitaing.....its sweatty...its difficult.....its a lifestyle change and when you have someone who may have just went through a weight loss procedure you should handle that situation differently.  That my opinion!!!

No she does not know I am 8 yrs post op and struggle daily with 20 extra pounds....but regardless you should not have that attitude with anyone. I do not like her technique and think she is full of herself......I think she needs more training and education.....maybe a course on courtesy.....

maybe I am too sensitive and take things personal but I can tell you if I was e newbie postop and heard the trainer in the gym talk like that I would feel very uncomfortable. No she did not insult anyone directly but it also could have been taken as no one but skinny people can be personal trainers!

Whats so funny......I can leg press 200 pounds in 3 sets of 12 repetitions and she cant do over 140 in 2 sets of 12!!!!!!!!!! hahaha!!!

anyhow.....I know I never post on here....dont know why, but wanted to check in and vent on the psycho wanna be trainer.......

hope everyone is happy, healthy and losers........

glad to hear from you too......how are things?

I considered training newbies and or those who have to lose more than 50 pounds. I dont want to train some person who needs just maintenance or some one who wants to get ready for the beach.

who knows where I will end up.....I just feel the need for trainers in this particular field. When I started working out last year no one in my gym including my trainer new anything about RNY and how I eat or what my requirements are. Some trainers are qualified to make meal plans for clients.....all his meal plans would not work for me.

I am in a situation now where I dont eat enough to support weight loss......I rarely get in 1000 cals a day....my trainer is used to making meal plans where calories are reduced and normal portions are ate....not in my case.

Anyhow I just feel that more focus needs to be directed toward post ops and obese individuals who are trying to be healthy and lose weight the non surgical way! There are not enough certifeid trainers in this field.

well anyhow......I will keep studying and working out....

Hey kiddo!

Good to see you around. I'm busier than crazy for the next 4-5 days, so I can't stay for long. Just wanted to say hi, tell you we miss you and you need to come around more often!

Big ol' hugs from me....and the boys

Really good to see you Tammy!  I like hearing from you...you are so honest.  Just what the doctor ordered...I'm happy you are becoming a trainer.  I wish that I could afford one.  Until then I'm back to curves for a while.
Great to see you!
