Arkansas WLS newbie

I would like to join the Arkansas group.  I am new to this website and have a surgery date of May 20, 2009. 
Looking forward to new journey but a little scared at the same time!!!  But, by reading how you guys help each other, I know I am not alone!

Who's your doctor? Are you having rny or lapband?

Thanks for the reply, susanandoeshair!  My Dr. is John Baker and I am having Lapband.   I will have it at Baptist.  
The silliness is great!  The being nosy part...well, I figure if we are on this website we dont have many secrets left anyhow!  Seems that we are all in the same shape, or were!!!

Dr. Baker is my doctor. He is great. Everyone here is really good about helping each other. Not much that has not been discussed on here. You wouldn't believe some of the stuff we talk about. And yes the silliness helps too. If you have any questions, trust me, someone on here usually has an answer. Some of us don't know, but usually someone will know or will find out for you. Again, welcome and good luck on your journey.

Thank you for the reply...I like Dr. Baker and his staff so far, they have been great in getting things done.  I sure appreciate knowing that you guys are out there just a click away incase I have questions.  Thanks for the welcome and good luck to you too...I am sure that we will talke again...lol!!

Welcome to the board and good luck with your approaching surgery.   As long as you do what Doc Baker says you will do great.   I just passed a year last month and haven't had any problems.   Great bunch of folks on here.  Always good to have one more.

I'll take all the encouragement I can get...lol!!!  Congrats on your 1 year anniversary...I am glad that you have had no problems, those testimonies are the ones that I like to read about...I know things can go wrong, but seems that there are alot more that go well...I am counting on being one of those who do well.

I have been too shy to speak up until now,but I'd like to join the group also!

I to am excited but terrified at the same time. My surgery date is May 6th with Dr. Baker. This website has been a great help. So many resources and so many helpful people.

I also look foward to meeting everyone in person!

Hi cajungirl73!! I am glad that you were able to speak up!  Seems that this is a great group of folks that are more than willing to help us on our journey and in turn we will be able to help others down the line.  Good luck on the 6th and I will be thinking and praying for you! 

Welcome aboard, Cajungirl.   Please don't be shy.  You will have lots of questions - probably the same questions many of us have had.   We will always be happy to try to help.   Wishing you well on the 6th.
