Need help from other "Tricare Primers"!

I saw my PCP yesterday and asked for referrals for both a dermatologist and a podiatrist.  I only knew of one recommened dermatologist, and my PCP said that he doesn't take Tricare Prime so I will have to go to UAMS and the appointment will likely be months and months from now.  I have some suspicious areas I'd like to have checked out...sooner than 2012 if at all possible!

Do ya'll have any recommendations for dermatologists and/or podiatrists that take Tricare Prime?  I live in North Little Rock and would prefer someone in this area, but anyone you can recommend would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much everyone!     Lisa

My grandmother has used Dr. Jay Flaming for a while.  I don't know if he takes Tricare.  I saw him once, and he was pretty nice.  Oh, wait, I think she gets insurance through my deceased grandfather who was retired USAF.  I think she's got Medicare, too, however.

When I was an acne-riddled teen, my mom used to take me to Rennie Bressinck.  Again, don't know about the insurance... sorry!

ETA: both are derms, I have no experience with the feet

Hey Lisa,
Check with Hayden Franks. He's who I see and is terrific. Same as Wendy, don't know about the Tricare thing, but it's worth a call.

Here's a thought, maybe check to see if there is someone near the AF base?? Might be a drive, but with all the military in that area I'd bet more of the docs take their insurance? Who knows.
Podiatrist???  I'm kind of foot expert between my job and my ankle injury and years of plantar faciatis(sp)....what's going on? Might be able to help here.

I have this knot-like bump on the top of my left foot, just below the toe.  It's very hard and sometimes hurts, but not consistently.  Bone spur?  Bunion?  My PCP had no idea what to make of it.  Any ideas?

Hmmmm, alien baby???

If it were on the side, I would say bunion, but on the top?  I'm with the PCP....clueless.
