Monday Monday

Hey gang,
If April showers bring May flowers, we should have flowers large as truck tires!!  Another rainy day here, but Im not fussing.  Im dry and warm, and have more to be thankful for than I could even begin to list.

Monday really rolls around quickly these days.  Mom tells me the older you get the faster time goes, so next year should only be 3 months long.

Today starts my serious weight loss campaign to get this 35 pounds off, done some exercise this morning and going to make sure to eat correctly and less and get more exercise.  How often I am now reminded its not a cure, its only a tool, and now I have to work it once again.

Hope everyone has a great warm and dry Monday and rest of the week.
Taking today off b/c I was supposed to be off Friday and had to work all day, so Im going to take today off to spend w/my wonderful hunny bunny!!

See you all tonight,
Rhonda and Mike Dews

Warm, dry Monday?? HA!!!  We got three inches of rain yesterday, and so far today, another 1/4 inch. It sure isn't warm, either. But then, I'm cold at 95 degrees....LOL

Had a meeting with Team Bella (Tess and Carrie, our graphic artist/cheerleader) at Panera Bread company. They have a very yummy fruit and yogurt parfait which would have been fine, but I HAD to mix in the granola, so that messed up my morning. Well, sort of, I guess.
Then off to the doctor's to have him try and figure out why I keep getting cramps in my feet. Only at work, thankfully not while I'm sleeping. They're horrible! So, blood work done. Then, beauty supply, bank, grocery store and a pedicure. Now I'm going to cook a couple of casseroles for the week since I have two late nights coming up.

I'm tired just writing about it.  Hope all is well in your corner of the world!

Susan

Susan,
I knew you must be really busy today for me to beat you to the daily post!!!  Seems like everyone is busy, but maybe they will come out and tell us about their Monday.

We got our Camden stuff done fairly early and now we are back home burning trash, since I dont believe I need to wonder if we are under a burn ban, ha ha.

Good luck w/the cramps in the feet, I know how horrible they can be.  My favorite home remedy for it is dill pickles or the juice from them.  I know that is lots of sodium, but it is the first thing I reach for when Im having cramps in my legs and feet.  I have them alot after I ride the horses, working muscles Im not used to working.

Hope it all works out, casseroles sound good, although Im doing salads, flax seed all grain bread and protein shakes.  So have a bite for me, I know my effort will pay off in the end.

Hugs,
Rhonda

Do you rub the pickles/juice on your feet? ;-)

I guess I should have been a little more clear, lol.  Never thought about that, but NOOOOO, I eat them and drink the juice.  Its actually the vinegar that gets rid of the cramps, but I cant drink straight vinegar!!
Although I have done that when the cramps were bad and I had no pickles, but I prefer pickles!!

I have a sick sense of humor, sorry.  I saw an opportunity to tease and I took it.

Edited to add: I don't know what it is, but I've been craving pickles lately.  I've had more pickles this last week than I have since surgery!  Mmmmm.

Well, I played me some hookie today.  The Travelers played a double header today at 11:00 and gave a $3 discount for a note from your boss that said it was OK to go to the game.   So after forging notes for me and one of my buddies from the office we spent the afternoon at the ballpark.  Not great weather but it sure beat sitting in the office and pretending to work.

I worked in the yard all day Saturday.   Guess I should have spent the time building an ark instead.  Hope nobody floated away on Sunday.

Steve,
Guess yesterday was a good day to play hookie.  I did as well, since I had to work all day Friday and I was supposed to be off.  I left the work phone at home and enjoyed the time w/Mikey.

Glad you had a good day, if you start that ark call me, I bet I can help!!!  Our first horse show is supposed to be Saturday, but I BET they call that one a rain out!!  OH well, thats why we have rain dates!!
Have a good day today, Im off to work, wooo hooooo
