Hi everyone! Thanks for all the well wishes and the PM's that I got from some of you before my surgery and during my recovery! For those of you who don't know....I had brachioplasty (arm lift) on March 19th. I am doing EXCELLENT! I had an amazingly easy surgery....no complications at all....he said everything went smoothly. I was expecting a lot of pain and was surprised to find that it was actually not nearly as bad as I had anticipated. There was some pain but it was over after the second day. He sent me home with a whole bottle of pain pills and I have taken 3 pills total since surgery....he was pleased at that! I am still sore to some degree and there are some unusual and new sensations in my arms (slight tingling....he said this is my arms waking up and adjusting, tightness, swelling, bruising, and still a little numbness).

Anyway, I am able to drive now....I was driving at about 5 days after surgery! Also, I can get dressed on my own now and shower on my own and even get in and out of bed on my own.....amazing how many things you use your arms for that you take for granted every day! :) It is still kind of hard to type because of the way I have to hold my arms so that is why I have not gotten back to y'all sooner! :)

I am back to work as of this morning and doing fine! I was actually ready to come back. The kids have been so good this morning and very helpful! They are so sweet at this age (sometimes!! lol)

Ok, got to give the arms a break for now! Everyone take care and talk to you all soon!

Hey Karen,
Glad you are doing so well. I know it must be somewhat painful. Specially since you have to use your arms for everything you do. Just don't overdo it. You are going to look so great with those new arms. Congratulations.... You deserve it.
Take care.

Hi Karen!

so glad to see you're out and about and doing well. Good job!!!

Take it easy when you can. I'm sure you're doing what your doctor told you. Letting the kids help you is good for you, good for them

Keep in touch!  OH....pics when you can, too
