Dr.Rey's Shapewear

Okay ladies. I went shopping for a bra on lunch today and boy did that ever turn into a chore! I started at Target. The girls were either coming out the top or pooling in the bottom so I headed to Penney's. I got fitted (which was not correct BTW. She fitted me to the same size that I am wearing now and this bra is on the smallest hook and my boobs fill it maybe half way). I picked out a bunch and tried on a few cute ones, but they just weren't what I wanted. I could tell that I would be tugging and pulling on it all day long. I also looked for shapewear, but they had nothing that met me needs. **sigh**

I got fed up with bra shopping and headed to Sears to check out Dr.Rey's since my shaper is getting holes in it from being used so much (I live in the stuff!) I'm too cheap for Dr. Rey's though and they never have the style I want on eBay. Anyways, off to Sears. Too my surprise...Dr.Rey's Shapewear was 30% off. Yea, you read that right! 30% OFF!!!!! I was stoked. Wait, they didn't have the size I was wearing...large. Dang it! Just my luck. I took a medium back just to humor/humble/whatever myself. That sucker was tight, but I squeezed in. SWEET! I got both red and black (I like the "lace" style shapewear because it has more bend and pull to it.) Then I grabbed a Dr. Rey's bra. It fit. First one I picked up fit great. I can't explain some things in life, but when it works in my favor... I don't care.

Anyways, just wanted to let you ladies know that shapewear is my best friend. I'm not wearing it today and I'm all of sorts. I'm super excited that I had a fix in the dressing room for a brief moment, but now I am without and looking all frumpy again. Not all shapewear is uncomfortable, you just have to find what works for you.

Ah, the supportive undergarment discussion!

I, my dear are a good deal older than you, and most of the folks here, and I would have had "issues" by now even without  WLS.  Since losing over 100 lbs the girls are somewhere closer to my waist rather than my chin, sad but true. Factor in the loose skin and you have a lingerie sales woman's worst nightmare.
Bali makes a great underwire shaper that goes down just about to my hips, and it gives me a nice"no bump' look. Then, on days where I wear something a little less form fitting I wear a camisole that I get at Kohl's. It's just like a regular one with a touch of spandex, just enough under a tee shirt or blouse. Since I"m ALWAYS cold I always have one or the other on.

Cheaper than plastics!!

HA! Well, my grandmothers stomach looks better than mine. Seriously. As for her boobs, well she wears like a J cup and is under 5 foot tall so you can only imagine. Maybe that's why her stomach looks so great! It's been shielded all these years!!!

I like the camis and wear them wuite a bit too. I carried a lot of my weight in my tummy so I have a flap just above my pubic area that looks less than flattering even with clothes on. Shapers keep it smooth there thank the lord! I am SO self conscious about my lower tummy pudge and when I don't wear shapewear I'm always fidgeting.

Plastics...someday. Today in the Penney's dressing room I got to looking at my hanging skin on my tummy. I got to puling and shifting and was dreaming of how fabulous my tunny would look with a little nip/tuck. One of these days I will have a flat stomach.

Well I'm glad I am not the only one who is a memeber of the sista hang club. You know everything is hanging. LOL  A friend of mine who had WLS 3 years ago suggest the Diet-Trim from Sears. I bought it and love it. That sucker hides all the hanging stuff and makes me look good. I know I am only 6 months out but I got junk hanging in places I didn't know could hang.  I will have plastic surgery on all this and I will be too hot for tv, but for now the Diet-trim helps me fool everyone

Girl, I am right there with ya! I want plastics so bad it's not even funny. I'm healthy enough and have stabled out enough that I could have it now. However, me and the hubs want to have kids so I don't care to pay for the boobs and the tummy twice. I guess I will abuse this poor body a little more and then have it all fixed up.

I think having my body fixed will help with the brain. I still feel like a fat ass when I look at my body because it's not the body of a 180 pound person. I have a niece that wears one size smaller than me, weighs around the same as me, but is an inch or 2 taller. My sister can't keep the boys away. She has a J-Lo booty and her boobs are no doubt bigger than mine (which isn't saying much). All I know is that her tummy is flat and her skin is tight. What I wouldn't do to have that girl's body!

I've never heard of the stuff from Sears, but I'm going to go look at it.
I guess we are all saggin' and baggin'.
I need surgery, but I had to pay for my sleeve and I just don't know if I can pay for more things.
I've lost 141 pounds and am 1.5 pounds from my goal.

Awesome Carol! Dr.Rey's at Sears is awesome. It's not fun getting into it, but once I'm in I just use the snaps in the crotch to go to the bathroom. It never budges from the top until I roll it off at night.

I'm going to have to start saving my pennies so I can get PS in like 5 years...lol.
