6th month review (long)
I have been out of the loop for the past week. Last week was my daughter's spring break and now my son and grandson are on spring break this week. Last week my daughter and I had our six month check up and we got good reports. The only weak spot was our vitiman D and we have always had the problem. Dr. Gibbs gave us a six week supply of Vitamin D. He was very happy with our progress and said if I didn't loose any more weight I would be fine. He remined us that the next six months our weight loss would slow down. My daughter is down 72 lbs and I am down 74 that is from the day of surgery. I began lossing weight before the surgery so my orginal weight was 280, on the day of surgery I was 251. My scale today shows 172. I am happy, I feel good and no more diabetes. I look forward to the next six months and plastic surgery. Got to get my 'Diva' on so, I can be too "Hot For TV"
Hey Peaches,
What a wonderful job you both have done, and how great to see you back!
Dr Gibbs told me the exact same thing at my 6 month check up and I lost another 40 lbs and got to goal by the time I saw him at my 1 year check.
Do me a favor....poke a hole in those green gel cap Vitamin D's that he gave you before you take them. Take it from experience, you can't absorb those and your D levels will continue to delcine. They don't taste like anything and you'll get you D in. Otherwise.....
Hugs to you both!
