Hey Steve!

I'm here, just have been super busy and taking some "me" time. Not just for myself, but with Gary. Seems the more we do the less it's with each other and that's NO GOOD.  So, Friday I met him at La Hacienda in Benton for an early dinner. Why, oh why do I order from the regular menu? Had enough food leftover for two more meals, but at least that breaks down the cost...LOL.
Saturday I worked, of course, then yesterday we spent almost the whole day out and about. The weather was far too nice to go to a movie, so we just kind of hung out and driving around our beautiful area.

Today it's been the usual, laundry, cleaning toilets, etc. Wanted to meet up with Jeanniiam, but it's getting on in the day now. I must send her a message..(note to self)

Steve, so glad to hear you might get a few more paychecks in your wallet. That's a good thing.

Gary's gone back to OA this evening...thank goodness. Anyway, he's due home in just a bit so I'd better go get the fish on the barbie.

Hugs to one and all!

Fish on the barbie sounds pretty good.  We had some shrimp on the barbie tonite ourselves.  Yum!

It was actually the indoor griddler, but just as good. 100 cals, 30+ grams of protein. Gotta love it!

Hey, I'm still around. I'm ok. Saturday I spent the day shopping with my daughter. She and my granddaughter have been living with us since last May. She got a divorce and had been ever since trying to get the child support thing going. She's finally got it going in the right direction. Now she has gotten an apartment in Benton and will be moving out the last of April. So she has been buying stuff to decorate her apartment with.
Yesterday I and my my husband spent the day working in the yard. I raked all the leaves up that had nestled up close to the house. Pulled up weeds. My husband and son mowed the yard. Then he went around with Roundup and sprayed the rest of the weeds. I put plant food around some of my annuals that are coming up. Put out the Hummingbirds feeders. Rearranged furniture on the decks, and just stuff like that. It was such a nice day. But man oh man, today was so windy. Sounds like it might be a nasty afternoon tomorrow. Everyone stay safe if the storms come.
Steve, so glad you get to stay for a while longer at your work. I got my ever so nice letter from Verizon in my Alltel bill this month.
Everyone have a good evening.

Hi Ann,
I see you are about to reach your one year mark.   Are you going to do something special to celebrate?

Gee Steve,
I haven't really thought about it. Well, I guess cake and ice cream is out of the question. LOL. I guess I can have a bowl of fat free cottage cheese with some sugar free vanilla flavoring in it. OH WAIT......
I have that every day anyway.....
I know I'm being silly. You know, it doesn't seem like it has been a year already. I go back to Dr. Baker the last of April.
I'm sure my husband will come up with something to celebrate. He is my biggest supporter and keeps me in line all the time. He makes sure I get  my protein in and my liquid and my vitamins. Sure do love that man. I've had him for 38 years. Think I'll keep him around.

I've got insomnia, so thought I'd take a second to check in.

I've been busy, but well.

My daughter had company that left tonight that's been here since Friday.  So it's nice to have the house to ourselves again.

Hubby is on vacation & rented a horror movie tonight which we watched together.

I didn't see my son at all today.  He stayed all night w/ my dad & mom last nite because he is working w/ my dad over spring break.  So he just ate & stayed down there this tonight when they got home too.

Today did not go well at work.  I ran in place all day long, getting nothing done.  One of my head honcho bosses was in a nit picking mood, so my supervisor had to ask me something that flipped my ***** switch on (although I'm sure I hid it well - it wasn't his fault after all).  But it's all good.

I'm taking Wednesday & Thursday off to stay w/ my daughter because my hubby is having to do work stuff even though he is technically off.  But I still have to work tomorrow.  Still not sure what I'm going to do - stay home & work or go out???  Who knows.

Right now, I know only the following:
I'm tired.
I can't sleep.
I'm bored.

Steve -- that's GREAT that you may get to stick around a bit longer!  If you can just fly under that radar for another year...

Steve,  As you know I didn't make it to the Group session the other night. I was really looking forward to going, but when I got up to shower I had a really bad case of dizziness. I have had this off and on for over two weeks. The Dr.s nurse said she thought I was not getting enough to drink
My blood presure has been real low and I can't seem to get it back up. I couldn't even go to Church Sunday. Some people told me to get Gatorade to build my electrolites back up. But it makes my sugars go out of control, and thats the last thing I need. Well, I hope to see you there next month. All prayers are needed. Take care and congratulations on your one year success.
May God bless,Michael

Hi Mike
Sorry to hear about the dizzy stuff.  I had some of this along with the really low blood pressures at one point.  Sounds like your nurse may be on the right track.  At least that was my problem.  If you get dehydrated at all it is very common to be dizzy and to experience low blood pressures.  You are right about the gatorade messing with the sugars.   What is good for some people doesn't always work with us diabetic types.   How much water are you drinking every day?   It's really hard to get enough in at first, but it does get easier as we get further out from surgery.   I was able to drink more water if I had it at room temperature than if I had it cold. Cold water didn't agree with my pouch until I got out a ways from surgery.  Now I can handle it just fine warm or cold.  You just about have to be sippin on  water full time until you can hold more at one time.   Hope you get over the dizziness soon.   Just keep drinking as much as possible and at least 64 ounces per day.
Let me know how it goes.
