Where are all our folks?  It sure is quiet around here lately.  Let's all check in today, at least enough to let everyone know we are OK.

I am OK.

Had a good weekend.  Played golf Saturday and worked in the garage after church on Sunday.  We are doing a total rearrangement of our "STUFF" in the garage. (not my idea)  Still not finished, but we did get the hard part done.  Installed some new cabinets and rearraged others.   Just have to put stuff away now.

More good news - we heard at work on Friday that the new company is now in an evaluation mode regarding the LR employees and we may get to stay on for a few more months.  Hope that's right.   Every additional week is a real blessing.

What is going on in your journey?  Feeling OK?  Eating OK?  Doing anything fun?   Doing anything that isn't fun?    Let's hear about it.

I am  OK.  Not one for posting a lot of msgs, but will try to update my progress more often.  Since 17 Nov 2008 (Surgery date) I have lost 67 Lbs and have NOT experienced any of the problems that the doctor and others warned me to expect.

Since my last post I have buried the last of my father's brothers, which makes me the oldest living Lester (by name) in our family.  I still have one aunt on my fathers side of the family and two older cousins who have different last names.

I have just recently started missing being able to eat like I use to.  Even thou I know that is how I became obsese, and I will never be able to eat that way again.  The feeling is not overpowering, but it is still there.

I do have good news.  I am now walking longer and without getting out of breath as fast.  I haven't used an Wal Mart electric kart in months and I can stand without my back killing me.  I will obtain my goal of 200 Lbs weight loss.

Have a great Day.

Good to hear from you, Michael.   Keep up the hard work.  It will be worth it.   I am a little over a year out now and down 185 pounds.  I really feel like a new man.   There are lots of ups and downs, especially mentally.  But its worth never giving in, and i think it gets easier to stay in compliance as we form habits of good nutrition.   If I  can ever be of help, just let me know.  Don't be  a stranger.

I am doing ok.  I keep losing and gaining the same 4 lbs for the last few weeks, and I am losing slower.  I know I will get there eventually...

Hi Amanda.   Good to hear from you.  I understand the slowed weight loss frustration.   I started out losing like crazy, but now I am ready to throw a party whenever I lose more than a single pound in a week.   It's still great though when you view the whole process and not just this week or this month.   ****ep reminding myself of that)  Keep working hard.

Hey Steve!!! Wonder where Susan has run off to. I saw Tammy post on the RNY board! She IS still around!!! Rhonda must be hiding... I'm guessing Wendy is still going a thousand directions this week. Who else......

I'm trying to call everyone out, but I am so bad with names!!

Oh shoot....I know there's one I'm missing. I'll describe her (as rude as I may be)...works at the post office, had the lap band, does some great pencil sketches......what's her name? I hate when I do that.

As for me, my muscles HURT! We worked on the boat all weekend long. It was a dusk to dawn thing. We have made great progress. We put in a new floor and have re-carpeted the floor and the front deck. I still have to do the storage compartment doors. We have cleaned and cleaned and cleaned. Johnny has replaced quite a few electrical components. The majority of Saturday I just cleaned that thing out. There was so much junk and leaves were everywhere. Oh well, it was a good deal! Our new seats should be coming Wednesday or Thursday. That will make a world of difference in this boat. Now I sit at work thinking of everything I could be getting done at home.

Hi Shawna
You are thinking of Kelly.   I haven't heard from her in a little while.   Seems like we have quite a few who are MIA lately.  Hoping everyone is just busy but OK.
Sounds like you guys are busy with the new boat.  It'll be worth it though when you get it out on the water.  i think that being on the water is about the best way to relax that there is.
thanks for responding.  Keep us posted on the boat project and post some pics when you get it done.

I just came back to report...it is KELLY! But...you had already figured it out =)

I took a few before pictures, but forgot about before pictures until we had already yanked the seats out. That was one of the worst cosmetic problems! Oh well, there will still be a dramatic difference! I'm excited to take it out. I need a free tan in a bad kind of way.

Hey, guys!

I'm "lurkin' around".  Had a fill on the 13th that was tooooo tight and hadda go back last Wednesday to have it taken out.  Hated to do that, but prefer to be able to swallow - my own spit even...  I know - gross.  Feeling better now and worked outside all weekend, hadda come back to work to rest!

Hi Nancy,
Glad you are feeling better.  Sounds like an "unfun" thing.  I am with you on the back to work to rest deal, but it was a good weekend to work outside wasn't it.
