Hey, Im here, its just been a really BAD week, ended up passing 8 kidney stones this week.  Passed the last one Friday morning, around 3:30.  Alas, I think they are all gone, quite frankly, Im tired of giving birth!!!! Especially since I birthed them and cant even claim them on my taxes next year!!!!

This weekend was ok, worked at a health fair yesterday morning for 5 hours, then went to my father in laws and slept on his couch.  Came home around 4 pm, and went to bed immediately, still sore from all the stones.  Slept on and off until 9 this morning.  Guess the body was exhausted physically as well.

Got up today, went to "The Barn" and cooked catfish for everyone there.  Mikey made his world famous beans, and I ate 3 bites and was done.  Came home around 9 tonight, and went to bed at 10.  Had a puppy screaming outside, so I went back out and checked on them, now Im wide awake and on the computer at 11:05 Sunday night.

Hope this week is better, weather wise and health wise.  I need to ride my horses.  There is a trail ride next weekend and I'd love to go.  Let's just pray the weather is better.

Well, Im off of here to try and sleep, see you all later this week.

Hey guys!

I wasn't around yesterday because I was running the LR Marathon 5K!!!  What an awesome experience... it went a lot better than the first race, I think mostly because I had the "right" mindset -- the only person I was really trying to beat was myself this time. :)

Mile 1 was pretty easy, had to dodge a lot of walkers.  By mile 2, I noticed most of the early runners were slowing down to a walk, and then by mile 3, they were stopping and starting, trying to make it to the end.  I kept a slow but even pace through most of it and only walked a couple times - mostly when I hit the water stops.  It's near impossible for me to drink and run, ha ha!  I managed to finish in 41.06, so I shaved nearly two minutes off my last time, woohoo!!

There was a little guy, about 5 years old, who kept racing in front of me, then his mom would catch up and I'd pass them.  Every time he passed me, I couldn't help but smile, he was such a cutie pie.  I looked up the results and the youngest finisher was TWO years old!  He took around an hour to do it, but his mom told one of my friends that he walked it all by himself.  Precious.

I stuck around to watch a coworker finish the half-marathon.  That was really cool.  They announced each person as they crossed, and sometimes tell where they were from.  It was really exciting to see people gutting it out right at the finish, and there were some really inspirational folks, too -- we saw a blind woman finish (she had a guide runner tethered to her), and we saw a wheelchair marathoner come across, too.  Awesome stuff.  And EVERYONE who ran got a medal of some sort!  My kids got all excited when I came home and they saw it -- "Mommy, did you WIN?!??"  Ha ha!  I will definitely participate next year.  Some friends and I are already talking about trying to form a marathon relay team (~6 miles for each of us).  We're crazy!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOO

Great job Honey!  I/we are so very proud of you.

There was a story that ran twice this morning about the two year old. She has Down's Syndrome and her dad got special permission to have her in her stroller for the race. They gave her a medal too. Dad practices with a 25lb weight in the stroller so she isn't always with him on his runs, but can you imagine the added exercise he gets from pushing a stroller with either a 25lb weight or a child in it?  Man!

anyway, you're amazing and such an inspiration. Keep up the great work!
