Its so nice to be back home and on the computer..... I hated the breathing thingies  so much, but when I got the fever, my mom started crying cuz she was worried and I did them and I was fine after that... Dr. BAKER Did do a chest X-ray to make sure though... and drew blood... Yes!!!  Morphine rocked... And I wasnt looking to be the star patient or whatever, but I was told by several I was....

You are a rock star, girl!  I'm so glad you're home... I would have been shocked and a little worried if you'd stayed just for the meeting. ;)  Keep up the coughing and breathing at home, it's still very important as long as you're somewhat immobile.  You're going to improve by leaps and bounds over the next few days!  In a couple weeks, you'll feel pretty good again.

Did you say you have a drain?  That, to me, was the absolute worst of the whole process.  It was a relief to get that sucker out.  I appreciate Dr. B's caution and his reasoning for keeping it in, though.  I'd rather be overly cautious and healthy, for sure.

Take care, and get some rest!

LOL.... THANKS!!!! Well, actually my parents had payed for Thur. night in the hotel so I could just go to the meeting... LOL... I realy wanted to, but the more I realize it, the more I would of just been in pain, and making yOU all miserable also. I had very bad gas when I got home..(I know thats kinda gross soory) but its true... I feel so much better this morning. Im continuing to deep breath, and cough.... It still hurts... Oh and guess what??? I sneezed 5 times in a row.... oh wow did that hurt.... is it normal???? I do have a drain, and will be very excited and relieved when its gone.... And yes overly cautios and healthy is a great thing.....

Courtney!!!!!!  You're here!

It sounds like you're on the right track -- WAY TO GO on your walking, keep it up!  Don't be shy with that morphine, it's there for a reason.  You take care of yourself, and seriously, don't push too hard... you just had MAJOR surgery!  If you're still around on Thursday, we can come to you.

Get some rest, sweetie, we'll see you soon!
