3 days and Counting

Hi Friends =)

I went and did my weigh in today at my PCP'S Office to see how much weight I lost on the liquid diet and after 2 weeks on the HMR SHakes, I have lost 12 pounds. Its not a bad weight, but I would of liked to do better. But hey, I will have my time for weight loss soon... I am getting excited, and the nerves are starting to kick in. I will have my laptop with me at the hospital, so I will keep you all updated on how things go on my hospital stay. If you can, e-mail me at [email protected]   I would love to hear from you all... It makes me very happy to receive messages... And if you want to, come on by and see me.... Id love the company!!! Love yah all....

Courtney -- I did not realize your surgery was coming up so quickly!  You opted for the rny, huh?  You'll do terrific. :)

I am SO excited for you -- this is going to be an awesome year for you!  You take care, sweetie, and keep us posted on how it's going.  I bet you'll be home by then, but if you're still in the hospital on Thursday night, I'll come by and see you.

Yeah, It kinda creeped up on me too... LOL... Yes, Dr. Baker thought that would be the better way for me to go since I am going in to Nursing, my band could slip if I lifted anything heavy. Also, the weight loss would be slower , and with my health as bad as it is, he said I needed it off faster.\

I know =) I cant hold my excitement in thinking of how my year is going to go and what I am going to be able to do..... I will probably be out of the hospital on Wednesday, however I am trying to convince my dad to stay another night so I can go to the meeting.... I will have to see....

I know you will do just great. You have a good support system here, so don't be shy about using it. Any questions you have, just ask away. Let us know how you are doing. Good luck and take good care of yourself. Sending an angel to watch over you.

I'll never forget my excitement about the surgery, I was one that never got scared.  I was so excited at the thought of being thin and healthy I never gave myself time to get scared. If you havent already, take you some before pics, yes, you will probably hate them when you see them, but you will be so proud in 2-3 months when you are much healthier and smaller.

Cant wait to hear how great you are doing!!!  Good luck, you are in great hands with Dr. Baker.

Yeah, I am very excited about it.... My dad made me cry today.. He sat and told me that I was always there for him when he had the surgery and always built him up when he would tell people how much weight he had lost, and he said its my turn to WOW people now.... Yes!!! I have been taking a lot of pictures, and plan to tomorrow(day of surgery).... I want to make me an album to remember.....

I won't be in LR until Thursday nite for support group, but Baker makes his rounds so late at night sometimes that you may still be there then.  If so, I'll drop by for sure!

Its ok, I convinced my dad to let me stay til Thur. so I could go to my first POST-OP Meeting
I dont know how I will feel, but that will be 3 days after my surgery, but i really want to come to the meeting, so i will see you there.... But if I am still in the hospital on Thur., and dont make it to the meeting, please do come see me.... And I will for sure let you all know.....
