New trick with protein
Hey gang,
I hate the thick shake like protein drinks and have always used Nectar by Syntrax. It's liquidy (is that a word?), not thick at all. Well, I really don't like drinking one down at one sitting, after 2 1/2 years of them, you know??? So, I've found a new way!!!
Take 1 1/2 scoops protein powder and put it in a tupperware type bowl with a good lid. Add one packet of crystal lite (individual size pkt) and mix it all together really well. I divided them into three, 1 1/2 oz containers (you know, the little tupperware ones that you can put salad dressing in). So, now I have three already flavored packets that can be added to 16-20 oz water. It's just enough to flavor the bottle of water, but not so much that you know you're drinking a protein drink. You can't even smell the protein! Yet another plus.
The calorie count for mine is 47 cals and 13 grams of protein for each bottle. It helps keep your protein levels up between meals!

Hey Peaches,
I drank these all day yesterday and I have to tell you they were great. You can't even taste the protein in it, since it's diluted more and has the Cyrstal Lite added flavor.
I'm going to go ahead and order some more of my old favorite Fuzzy Navel and get back on track with my protein
Take it easy!

Hey Shawna,
My main source has always been Fuzzy Navel Nectar made by Syntrax. It's supposed to be peach flavored, but I think it's more like orange/peach. I mix the Walmart brand crystal lite Orange Sunrise with it.
I recently tried Syntrax's Crystal Sky (fruit punch) with some banana-strawberry crystal lite. and their Caribbean Cooler (pina colada) with the same banana strawberry (it's what I had). I had ordered samples of those from Viatlady.com because for all these years Fuzzy Navel was the only one I liked. The Crystal Sky is good, good enough that I might fork out the $$ for one of those tubs, too. Fuzzy Navel will always be my favorite though.
Vitacost.com has all of the flavors for $26.35 + $4.99 shipping, which is about the best price for product and shipping. If you're looking for samples, go to Vitalady.com, they're $1.99 each there.
