Hi All,
I'm post-op 3 years now and want to have a BL & TT. Does any one know a good Dr. around the tri-state area or memphis,tn?  And do u know if BS/BC federal will help with the cost?

Thank You.

Hey Debra,

I had some facial plastic surgery a year ago. Dr Kris Shewmake was highly recommended and I even had a consult with him, but went with the "other guy" because he was also recommended by a couple of friends, but cheaper. Now I wish I would have seen Shewmake. IMHO I'd steer clear of Suzanne Yee, flashy office in a uber fancy building, but charges $50 for a consult and you don't even see her...you "get" to see her nurse. Sorry, that's not the attitude I want in a doctor.

As far as the insurance paying for anything, it has to be medically necessary. Rashes, sores that won't heal, etc. If you have any of these, make sure you're documenting them...take pictures, make notes as to how often they happen, and see your PCP every time. The more proof you have that it's necessary, the better the chance is that they will pay. Remeber, most plastic surgeons won't bill your insurance, so you have to pay out of pocket then be reimbursed by your insurance company. Giant pain in the wrinkly tushy!

Good luck...let us know what happens.

Susan
