Stayed on plan pretty well.   Even saw a little movement on the scale this morning after a very long streak of no movement.   I did decide to do the low carb slim-fast thing for a week starting Sunday just to see if I can get the old bod' off of its love affair with things in their current state.   Not going to weigh for a week and won't be posting food on here so as not to throw anyone else off track.  I'll return to balanced stuff after a week.  Heck, I did it for 8 weeks pre-op and dropped 53 pounds, so I think I can do it for a week now.

I'll let y'all know how it goes.  Here is Thursday:

I just love Mahi Mahi. Gary and Jeff went on a week long fishing trip to Mexico and I think they brought back 7 or 8 of them. We had fish in the freezer for months. Do you buy yours at Sam's? Reason I ask is that I'm certain the package a serving is 100 cals, and since Fitday doesn't have it, I  just go with the 100 cals. Can't beat fish for protein and no fat.

Didn't I hear there could be snow tomorrow?  Bet you'll still be out there even if it does!

Yep.  we get the Mahi at Sam's.   I seared it with some cajun seasoning and added salsa like you mentioned a while back - and boy was it good.

Hey Steve,

I hate to see you resort to this, but I can certainly understand why you're doing it. If it were someone other than you I might advise against it. Nutritionists and doctors really want us to get away from the "diet mentality", going more for the change of lifestyle mentality. You have certainly done this, and it's obvious that you've tried everything else to break this very stubborn stall. Let's hope this gets is done for you!!

Ok....that being said, we're here for ya!!

Thanks Susan
I really tried to stay away from this for the very reasons you note and I won't let it get out of hand.   You are very right about the lifestyle objective and that is working really well for me as far as maintaining.  I will only use this drastic approach to try to get things moving again.  If I let it go farther than that, then I invite you and all my other friends on here to apply your favorite boot to the rear portion of my anatomy.  I don't worry too much though.  After doing liquids for 8 weeks pre-op, I learned to hate it pretty thoroughly.   I'll get back to the normal life next week.  Thanks again for the support.

My day yesterday was passable.  I had a minor stomach bug Tues and Wed -- nothing terrible, but I couldn't keep much down.  It's okay because I really wasn't hungry anyway!  Yesterday was my first day back in the swing of things, so I splurged at dinner and had some nachos since I went running last night, too.  Boy, did that suck!  I made it through one mile and I had to give it up.

Tomorrow is the 5K!  I'm a little nervous.  I have a sinking feeling that my training mileage is off due to some weirdness in the wording at the football field, but I'm hoping that's not the case... regardless, I'll trudge through those 3 miles tomorrow.  I hope the weather holds out!
