Notice how much I've posted today?? Well, here's the thing. My husband bought me an early birthday present.....a netbook mini laptop computer!!!!  Now I have no excuse for not being able to get online during the day. So, if I have a break I can check in with everyone!

Folks, I'm really trying to keep the activity level up on this board, so can you give me a hand here?

Tell him I want one too!!!!

I've been trying to make a conscious effort to post more, but then I look like the only one on the board! I love it when I see my name as the last person to post for the last 10 threads...lol.

It's a great toy (ahem, tool) for me to have for my businesses. Now, remember, I didn't grow up with these things like you "young'ns" did, so the learning curve is pretty steep!  I'm determined thoug.

Thanks for trying to help keep this board active. There are so many good folks, I just wish we could get them to come out and play!!!!

What a great gift.  Sounds like you better keep that husband of yours.

You can be a real multi-tasker now.

No, Steve, it's called "trying to remember".  I suffer from CRS......can't remember sh**!  Maybe it will help.

Congratulations on the mini laptop. I see you are already getting the money's worth. LOL....Isn't it great... I have a regular laptop but it's a hassle to haul it around. I'm not tech savvy....... so I'm always hollering at my son to come help me. Thank goodness the younger kids are so smart on these things.

Happy interneting!!!

Ann, this puppy is small enough to fit into a largish purse. Of course I had to go buy one since mine was just a bit too small  lol.   I don't know how to use 90% of it, but have the book handy. Already have OH bookmarked and my favorite recipe site too, so that will keep me busy while I'm out and about.

Gary has always been the "tech" guy in our house, but now I'm sliding past him. Life is funny, huh?

Congrats on your new toy/equipment. Please tell me if you like it. I was considering getting one after someone stole my laptop, but my video game designer IT solutions son told me not to buy it. So please tell me how great it is so for once I can say son you were wrong on this one.LOL

Hey Peaches,

It certainly doesn't replace my desktop since it can't do CD's, DVD's or download software from a disk.  It does have 160 gig hard drive, and small enough to fit in a purse. I can see a lot of applications for it, like being able to have my client records on it, complete with their pictures.
Since my business partner and graphic designer are so young and savvy I've been feeling pretty behind the times when they pull out their computers at lunch to look at label designs. I can check e-mail while at work and catch problems with suppliers before 7:30 in the evening when I get home.

So...is it worth the $300 or so bucks?  Yep, I think it will be.

Have a happy one!
