One Year Follow-Up....My Thoughts!
I haven't had labs yet. I have the orders, but I was told not to get my labs done for a couple of weeks due to recent events that may cause some false readings. I don't think there will be any problems since I am the supplement queen, besides maybe B12 since I am just now going to start doing sublingual. The NP said the labs will tell if I am low on B12 because they were great pre-op.

Hi Shawna! For one thing, you are only a year out. You will still be losing, just slower. It's hard when you start out seeing the scale drop 2-3 lbs almost daily to 2-3 lbs a week (which is still a very good weight loss). I feel like you do though. What I call success is how you feel. Are you healthy and happy in your body? If the answer is yes, no problem. It's been a couple of months since I saw you last but you looked really good then. You have been on a plateau for quite a while now. That is normal too. Look at the incredible amount of weight you have lost in such a short time, girlfriend. It takes the body a while to catch up with all of the changes. Personallly, I wouldn't want to be "skinny". I want to be healthy and comfortable in my body wherever that is. You have been a great inspiration to me also. I am 5' 2" and they tell me that 150 would be good for me at my "age". Screw that! I want to at least get down to 130. If my body will let me, fine. If not, I'll be ok with that too. It will be 1 1/2 to 2 years out before your body levels out and then you can decide if you need to go further or not and then it will just take more work to get there. Revel in your success and enjoy the ride. Hope to see you at the next monthly meeting. Sybul
