Terrific Thursday
Okay, only three responses to yesterday's post. Where are you guys. Are you not eating? I know you are, but I want to know WHAT!!!
How can we help if we don't know?
I had a very busy day yesterday starting with a meeting with our graphics person at Panera Bread Co. I got the Strawberry Granola parfait. Low fat yogurt, but the granola was super crunchy and had nuts in it, so I knew going in it would be high in fat. They get you that way, telling you it's low fat yogurt, but leaving out that tidbit of info about the granola. How do you think it gets so crunchy (and yummy)?. So, then I knew I wouldn't have time to eat well during the day so I ordered a salad to go. It was very, very good, but had toasted walnuts and gorgonzola cheese on it, so the nuts raised the fat grams way up. The chicken is organic, free range and OMG good. It took me all day to eat that salad, but man, was it wonderful.
So, here's the totals. I tweaked the fat grams a bit because I didn't eat all the nuts or cheese on the salad. Such restraint!!

I walked 1 mile and ran/walked 2 yesterday. I can now run 5 min/0.5 mi without stopping! I never thought that would happen. I'm on week 5 of the couch-to-5k program; workout 1 was alternating running 5min with walking 3 min. I think the next one, I bump up the time to 8 min, and then at the end of the week, I'm supposed to run 20 min without stopping. Yikes! I've always got to psych myself up for these jumps. I may stretch it out to next week...
Food wasn't too bad today. Someone brought in breakfast and I had a few bites of most things. I felt really icky until lunchtime, though. If I'd stuck to my oatmeal, it would have been a great day.

Beautiful day today, even if it is cold out there.
Pretty quiet week for me so far. Enjoyed a nice long walk in the warm temps yesterday. Can't wait til it's that way all the time.
Did a better job of getting in food yesterday without having to eat more late in the evening. Just some Fage and raspberries after dinner.
Wearing a shirt today that I couldn't wear comfortably last time i tried it on, so even if the scale doesn't know it, I must be doing something right.
Thursday is dog training night for my daughter and me. We have been working our Golden through agility training. Lot's of fun, but kind of cold this time of year. It's a real treat to see these mutts learn to climb a teeter totter and other foreign things. Amazing how they adapt with proper training. Probably a lesson for all of us people types in there somewhere regarding what we can actually learn to do if we are willing.

Ahhhh....Thursday. Only one more day! The hubs and I are living for the weekend this week. We are going to buy new bedroom furniture and get my bedroom and bathroom all decorated up. I love to decorate, it's my thing. BUT I haven't got to do my room how I wanted it since we bought our house a year and a half ago. I said that I wouldn't do a half ass job on it so it would go undone/plain until I could afford to do what I want to do! Hopefully I can get the whole thing done this weekend. It will be so exciting to finally be done with all the rooms in my house.
I started to write a bunch about my 1 year appointment and then I decided I wills tart a new post. Heck, we could use some new posts around this joint than just the normal.
