My WOW Moments
I don't post often, but I read everyday. I have gotten such great advice just reading everyone's posts. I decided I would share my wow moments I have experienced over the past few weeks. As of today I am down 65lbs. My surgery date was 12/10/09.
1. My husband pointed out to me on my way out of the shower, that the towel was all the way around me. I can't remember the last time there wasn't a big space between me and the two corners of the towel.
2. I just bought a pair of jeans 3 weeks ago and now they are falling off, literally. And when I bought them I bought them 2 sizes smaller than my pre-op size. Whoo Hoo. Time for new jeans.
3. The wind here was something fierce today, as I was walking on the sidewalk beside my husband a big gush came by and it actually moved me. My husband and I both started laughing so hard. I don't think that has ever happened to me. Might have nothing to do with losing weight, but I'll take it anyway.
Just wanted to share.

Hey Michelle...I'm right there with you on those WOW moments. They happen when you least expect them. Mine was when we all expected NLR to get out for a snow day b/c LR and Pulaski did. As a teacher I was as bad as the kid and was eagerly reading the bottom of the screen as the schools rolled across but did NLR get out NO. So I ran for the shower and quickly decided to I would wear jeans and rainboots that day but my one pair of jeans that still fit (all the others had gotten to big,YEAH!) were dirty...YIKES. I started to dig through my closet and tucked in the very back were a pair of Old Navy jeans my mom gave me 3 years ago. The ones you keep because you hope that one day they might fit...I held them up, said a little prayer and slowly started to put them on. OMGosh...they fit. I smiled all day long! By the way I had my surgery on 11/24/08 and am down 42lbs. Isn't life wonderful? Keep working hard and have fun with those WOW moments they are going to happen more and more.
That's awesome! I think having the towel go all the way around is one of my all time favorites so far. Not to get too personal...lol..but I don't like to get dressed until I'm done getting ready in the mornings and robes are just a pain.
