We're on a roll now! How was your Monday?

Okay, it's been ages since we've had 8 postings to this thread. We can do this!

Yesterday was a whirl wind. So much to do, so little time. But then, what are days off for? I cleaned, cleaned and then cleaned some more, had my phone consult with my accountant (sigh) and even had time to go to Kohl's and buy new bath mats and such. Tess and Jeff came over last night so we could take all our old stock of Saint Bella (changed bottles and labels) and used that to make Valentine gift bags for the two stores. Now we can get all the new packaging and fragrances into the salon and store and finally, we can get the etsy.com site going!  It's never ending, but it beats sleepinging in front of the tv every night.

Hope everyone stays safe with the weather today.  Here's Monday.  How was yours?

Hi wendy
Sounds like you have too much to do these days.  Hope things level out soon for you.  How are the increased calories working out for you?  Did you ever think you would have to worry about eating enough instead of worrying about eating too much?

I hope things slow down here too.  I stayed in this computer chair all afternoon (except for the running the kids to/from where they needed to go) catching up (for the most part) on some paperwork.  But sadly... I am not caught up.  I seriously need time to stop for 1 whole day for everyone in the world but me.  Then I could have a whole day of NOTHING and NOONE to catch up on everything.  Then the world could start again and I'd be okay I think.  But alas... I have no such special powers.

The increased calorie thing is freaky.  It is not HARD at ALL and THAT is scary by itself.  Thank god I measure my portions religiously, or I could very easily be one of those people who has more "bounce back" than I need to if you know what I mean.  It would be SO easy to lose control.
So to sum it up, the increasing calorie thing is EASY physically - but it is HARD mentally.  It is especially hard when I am having a "gain trend" on the scale.  They aren't all real gains.  (I'm not eating THAT many extra calories.)  But the gain AT ALL when I'm on a prescribed calorie increase is hard not to panic over.

But I will NOT let myself lose control.  I keep my food journal RELIGOUSLY and I measure all my portions and log all my calories/fat/etc.  I'd do this even if I had to lose sleep to make time for it.  (And I have lately.)  It's little enough price to pay for keeping this life I've been given a second chance at, you know?

An uneventful Monday for me - no complaints - uneventful is good sometimes.   Got a good long walk in at lunchtime.  I am trying to be more diligent with exercise since winter slowed it down too much.   Feels good to keep moving.

Steve, isn't the south beath cinnamon raisin heavenly?!?! I'm in love with them. They taste like a cookie and have protein, what more could a RNYer ask for?

Oh yea!  Good stuff.  I keep some in my desk for mid-afternoon.  They have pretty good protein and I usually need some addl carbs so they work really well for both and they are yummie.

Yep, there's a lot to be said for routine, isn't there?  Boring is good for you, it means you're still working...LOL

Good job on walking during lunch!

Hope the weather doesn't get as bad as they're talking about. Just in case I've cleaned out our "hidey hole" closet. Gotta have room for us and the two four-legged buddies.

Take care!

Hey gang,
Monday was a good day.  Took a client to Hot Springs to the doctor.  Came home, changed clothes and went over to mess w/my new horse.  Although it was pouring down rain, I got her out of her stall, cross tied her, brushed her, and then did something I havent done since I got her, I RODE her!!!!  She is so awesome, but MUCH horse.  Just rode her inside the barn since it was raining, but she did great.  Came home, took a long hot bath, and then rested.

Food was ok, but Im getting better, gotta keep working on getting my amounts down, so I can lose the extra weight, and the best part is, riding will help tighten and tone as well.

Breakfast-Guts from a Jr Sonic breakfast burrito

Lunch-(on the road)  10 tortilla rounds w/cheese and jalepenos

Dinner-Grilled chicken chunks and a few steamed veggies

Had lots to drink, on the road most of the day, but Im getting better.

Got in my vitamins and calcium so I did well there.

One step at a time.  Everyone have a safe day, the rain has not stopped here since 10 am yesterday!!!

Im off to work, have a meeting at noon with our hospital volunteer board, gotta get my work project out there.

Talk to ya'll later,
Rhonda D.

Hi Rhonda,
Sounds like a real good day.  Glad to see you doing well.  The new horse sounds like great medicine.  Keep it up.  We are all pulling for you.
