How is your exercise and water looking? I'm not a good one for advice sine I am a bit stuck at the moment, but I could get off my butt and exercise more =) As for water, I am working towards a goal of one ounce for every pound I weigh. So far I've made it up to about 130-140 ounces a day so I still got a little ways to go.

Have you made an appointment with your surgeon?

100 pounds down: 9/19/08 Onederland reached: Sometime during the week of 9/22

You had your surgery two weeks before me, and I'm a Gibbs pt too!

Do you journal your food? I think, IMO, that that is what keeps me on the straight and narrow and at goal. It enables you to see patterns in your eating that can either be potential problems or trends that could be the culprit for stalls. Gosh, at 2 1/2 years out we get pretty complacent about our eating, don't we?  Life is just chugging along, and there you are.

So, lets take a look at that first. You say you're eating as you're supposed to, does that mean protein first, then veggies, then carbs?  How about volume? Doctor Gibbs (I know, Baker is different) says at 18 months you can eat between 1 and 1 1/2 cups of food at a meal. How about snacking?

My suggestion is that you do this:

Journal your intake....every little bite that you eat for at least a week to see how your numbers are. Use something like Fitday.com or Sparkpeople.com if you're not already. See what your daily calorie intake is. It's likely that you aren't eating enough!

Up your protien intake, decrease your carbs. Try getting 40% of your calories from protien (I'd say 100 grams a day might help), and then 30% each of carbs and fat. Those fat grams need to come from healthy fat like peanut butter, almonds, avacados, etc.

Water and exercise!!!! Don't need to say anything...you know what I mean.

We''ll start the daily eating log again. Maybe tomorrow. Join us and I'll see if I can help.

Good luck!

Susan
