Just wondering how things are going on the job front... you're being awfully quiet!  I hope things are okay.

Thanks for asking.  All is quiet so far.  i keep coming to work and they keep putting money in my account every two weeks.  Not getting any information about the future though.  I guess they are still trying to figure it out.  They have said that the LR jobs like mine will not be here, but no timing yet.  I just need 14 months of something to be eligible for retirement, so I am hoping to find some way to hang on in some manner til then.    I have asked a lot of questions, but haven't been provided with any answers yet.  Time will tell.
How about you guys.  Any luck on hubby's job search?

No, no luck here.  I'm going to put him to work soon, at least part-time, and I'm thinking about doing something on the side to bring in extra money since he's the one with income stipulations as far as unemployment benefits go.  It's been frustrating.  Fortunately, we have plenty of family members who have offered to help if things get really desperate, and I'm extremely grateful we haven't reached that point yet... like you said, time will tell.  It's the waiting that's hard!

Hey Skinny Woman!

Thought I'd let you know that I heard Blue Cross/Blue Shield is hiring.  Now, I don't know what positions and all that jazz, but it's something.  Our firm is doing bankruptcies out the wazoo right now so we're always keeping our ears to the ground about available jobs for clients, and this is the first I've heard of in weeks!!!

Hey...wanna sell me your 16/18's when you can't use them anymore?  I'm in desparate need of some britches....

Oh no girl, I didn't mean for you to give me anything!  I'd be happy to buy a pair or two of britches if you have some.  I'm about a 16/18....SHORT!!!!  That may be a problem because you're taller than me!

Mal is doing great.  She got off-track for a couple of weeks, but she's back on now.  We took her to The Buckle (where her brother loves to shop) and looked at the Affliction T's, and I forced her to try one on because she said she'd never be able to wear one...and it was actually too big!!!  We got her one in the next size down and she was just smiling ear to ear!  I'm hoping the speaker Thursday will somehow convince her that she needs to start wearing things that are size-appropriate, because she still wants to wear her old stuff which is way too baggy.
