February Support Group meeting

Hey Everyone,

Just a reminder the meeting is Feb 12th at 6:00. We will have the psychologist as a guest speaker and I'm sure we will all get a lot of good information from her.
Everyone will be meeting together in Gilbreath 22 (large room behind the cafeteria).

I'd like to suggest everyone think of some questions for Dr Ryburn. She plans on speaking on: body image, transfer addiction and binge eating after WLS.

Hope to see a good turn out!

Hey Susan,
I'll be there. I'm really looking forward to it. I know I have the same problem as everyone else. Even though I've lost about 120 pounds, I still see a really fat person when I look in the mirror. I recently went and got a few new blouses. My husband went with me. I kept trying on blouses that were too big and he got onto me. He kept saying "You've got to go smaller, those are too big on you!".  He really is my biggest cheerleader and I'm glad that he was with me.
Anyway, see ya next week. Have a good day.

Ann

Hi Ann,

So glad you're coming!  This lady sounds wonderful from the phone conversations we've had. I can't wait. Honestly, I hope she's on our insurance because I think I have more issues than she can address at one meeting  LOL!!

I still don't see myself as small as people tell me I am and it's been 2 1/2 years. It might be getting a bit better, but when I look at myself I see more of a size 10 than 4. I suppose it's better than it was.

Keep up the great work!

You know that this loudmouthed redhead will be there, and I've never been short on questions!

As for seeing a fat person in the mirror...I still do because well,  I'm still fat!!!  But I'm healthier and have more energy so I'm thrilled!

Now, if I can just find some sort of insurance-approved surgery to make me five inches taller......

Is the meeting for anyone who has had WLS and is in AR or is it only for those who had it at Baptisit Hospital??

All of our meetings are open to anyone who has had WLS or is thinking about it, or is the spouse, friend, relative......you get the idea!

I didn't have my surgery at Baptist and I'm the leader...lol

Hope you can make it!

I have put it on my calendar and plan to attend. As for seeing me as fat, I still see a fat me, the only help is my clothes fall off and that tells me I am not so fat any more.
