Tell me your schedules for the rest of the month and where you might want to meet. Then we can piece it all together hopefully LOL.

Only thing I have is my 6 month check up with Dr Baker on Friday in Little Rock....so if anyone wants to meet me that day let me know and we can go for coffee or something. The rest of the month I am open so far.

Hi Jan,
Hope all is well with you.  Dr Baker will be pleased with your progress when you see him on Friday.  Isn't it nice to have a Drs appt and not have to dread going because you know he is going to tell you to start losing weight?
My schedule for January is pretty open right now as well and I would love to see everyone again, especially since I had to miss the last couple of support meetings.  So, I'll wait til you hear from others and plan to join in.  I am also flexible as to where.  Look forward to seeing you again soon.

As to Alltel / verizon - Still nothing.  We did have our "welcome" meeting with VZ yesterday where they confirmed that they would convert our roughly 2000 person corporate staff into a 100 person regional staff, so we remain pessimistic.   But, no specific timing given, so we just appreciate every day of continued pay and hope that something changes.  Not a fun time, but still way better than being diagnosed with a terminal or debilitating disease.  Just have to keep  in perspective that this is just a job and things will be fine in the end.   They aren't going to shoot us or anything.

I'm ready!!!!

Wednesday's can be tricky, but I could make it work in a pinch.  The only other conflict I have this month (so far) is on Tuesday, 1/20, but I foresee a few more popping up.

Steve, I'm glad you have some extra days to work, too.  It does sound pretty glum out there. :-(

Has your hubby found anything yet? 

No, unfortunately.  He's got one lady who's expressed strong interest in hiring him, but the position is currently frozen and it'd be a 30% pay cut.  She says maybe next month.

He filed for unemployment yesterday since severance will be done at the end of the month.  I think he can make something like $170 per week before unemployment bennies begin to drop, so we're talking about part-time work wherever he can find it if it comes down to that.  We're just chugging along right now and very grateful I still have a job!  Thanks for asking.

Have DH check with Starbuck's for part time work....pays well, befefits at 20 hrs, plus tips. They're always hiring at most of the locations.

Also, my DS works for Blue Cross/Shield and says they are almost always hiring too. VERY good benefits!  It's customer service, but they're expanding their work force, so there's another option.

Thank you, Susan!  I've gotten a few good ideas from people here at work today so I'm making a list to take to Sam.  He won't know what hit him, ha ha!

I work Monday through Friday and get off at 5, but ya'll just plan something and let me know 'cause I'd love to see everyone. I really don't have anything else planned for January, but with the way my life goes my schedule changes daily.

I'm dying to see how different Steve looks since Jan and Wendy shocked me with how much they had lost since the fall!
