Six month check-up with Dr. Roller went well today.  My husband, Val went with me for the drive.  Will have to go to my own physician for all of my labs because I am no longer in network with my new primary insurance.  They gave me the list of labs to get done.  They told me that a goal of 124 is a little too low for my age (55).  I don't agree.  I want to be a skinny old crone, lol.  At 5' 2", I'll still have pleanty of meat on these old bones.  They said when I come back in 6 months I'll need to have a bone density test done.  Anyway, no physical problems, feeling well and getting back on track with my exercise.  I think I will get my doc to write a prescription for the monthly B-12 injections.  We switched to the sublinqual b-12 at Dr. Roller's office but I felt much more energetic after the shot I got last month.  The fact that half the time I forget and swallow the darned things instead of letting them dissolve under my tongue doesn't help much either.  I'm always rushing to get out the door in the morning and half the time just dump out the pills for the day and swallow them before thinking about it.  I've been thinking about waiting until I'm more awake and taking them later after I get to work but then I worry that I'll get so busy I'll forget.  Half the time I don't take my lunch time calcium until on the way home as it is.

Hi Sybul,
Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Tina and I am from Ft.Smith.Guess it's a small world huh.I am aboout 8 months out and have lost about 100 lbs now.I had my RNY in Lexington ,Ky.My husband is from Ky and I am from Ft.Smith.I have heard of Dr.Roller.I was wanting to use him as a dr but unfortuneately he wouldn't take me as a new patient unless I paid $2000 up front and I can't afford to do that.I have insurance but guess since I already had the surgery he is looking out for medical malpractice suits, can't say I blame him.So I have been using the company dr, at OkFoods where my hubby is a maintence mechanic. So far so good.My 6 month bloodwork came back in normal range.I just wanted to say hi  and its great to know someone close to home .
