Taking Out The TRASH
I took this when the snow/ice "storm" hit a couple of weeks before Christmas.
Apparently... this family wa**** by hard times like the rest of us. They lived in our trash can for almost a full week - refusing to leave.
We tried even turning the trash can on its side slowly (so the trash they were nesting on top of wouldn't crush them). Still they held their ground.
We tried using a broom to physically "sweep" them out of the trash can. The looked annoyed with us and turned and went back into the trash can.
After several failed evictions, we finally just left the trash can on its side. They left after a few days on their own.
I took this photo of the "squatters" a day or so into their sit-in.

Wendy,
You must be to gracious for them to stay!!! I must say Id have evicted them w/a death sentence, as "oppossum disease" is what killed our $15,000 horse!!!!!
But again, I applaud your love for animals, cause as you all know, Id keep a skunk if I could de-stink it!!!!
Have a safe and warm day,
Rhonda D.
