Hey everyone,

Hope you had a good start to the week yesterday. Steve, I'm glad you're using up that vacation time. What's new on the job front?

Things seem to be picking up a bit here on the board, now let's keep it up. It's so nice to see more folks taking the time for themselves. We all do so much for others, when we're the ones we need to take care of so we CAN do for others.

Every day when Gary gets off work he calls me to say he's on his way home. I can set my clock by the time the phone rings. Yesterday he called and told me it was time he went back to Overeaters Annon. for a meeting. I'm so proud of him for making the decision to go back. So, now all the crappy foods have been tossed and we're both back on track. So much easier when you're both working some sort of "plan".

Here's my Monday.

Lattes---3   FF, SF

mini bagel w/ ff cream cheese and bacon (the rest of that  got tossed today, too)

Wendy's grilled chicken go wrap

Beef stew

Yogurt/cottage cheese

apple

2 pcs Dove dark chocolate

Cals:  1276  fat 34  carbs 151  pro 103

Hope everyone has a great day! Only YOU can make it that way!!!

Susan

Hi Susan

I'm a bit late getting here today, but I have a good excuse - I was playing golf.   It's been a while but I sure did enjoy it.  What a beautiful day to be outdoors.

Good news about Gary.  Your absolutely right about being easier when both are watching food closely and the junk is gone.

No firm news on the job front but closing of the sale is scheduled for January 9 and we are each supposed to get some kind of letter about our future before then.  Not getting any positive signals, but who knows.   Can't do much right now but wait and see and I'm not the best "wait and seer" but I am learning.  I really have to fight to keep a good attitude when I think about the multi-millions being made by a few guys on the 12th floor at the expense of so many dedicated employees.  Oh well, enough sour grapes for today.

Had a decent food day yesterday.  having a little more trouble getting everything in today - just not very hungry, but still have some day left.  Here are yesterday's goodies:

Hey Steve,
So sorry about the job. I know how that goes. A few years ago the company that my husband had worked for--for 25 years closed. Had to start over. Went to work for another company, and then five years later they closed that place, BUT they did transfer him and that's how we ended up in Hot Springs. So once you've been burned a couple of times like we have, you always keep that in the back of your mind, well what it they close this place, what will we do. But you can't do anything about it till it happens. So might as well make the most of every day. And you know, when one door closes, another one opens. I will keep my fingers crossed for you and hope things work out well for you. Oh and about those ones on the upper floor making all the money, well, on both the jobs that my husband lost, those companies went overseas.

Isn't life just swell!!
Good luck to you. My cell phone is Altell, and I'm due for an upgrade next year, so I'm going to wait and see what falls out of the wash.

Ann
