Fearless Friday's Food log. I know you ate...let's hear about it. The good, the bad, the...
No flaming here! We need to be accountable for what we eat, no matter what day of the year it is. The house is full of left overs.....or is it?
I baked a blackberry cobbler and a Dutch apple pie for desert on Christmas. Neither one was touched, so the cobbler went to the DS's house (along with enough food for them not to have to cook for three days) and the pie got sliced into last night. Let me tell you, that puppy is going into the trash today. I couldn't stand it, sickenly sweet. I stick to my sliced apples with cinnamon and splenda on them for my treat....thank you very much!
My weight is exactly the same as it was on 11/20. How about yours? For those not on maintainence, you might have lost weight over the holidays for the first time in your life. What a joy!
Let us know how you did. No flaming, not judgments, just let us know.
Here's my Friday:
latte FF SF
Bkfst: on the run to sales......1/2 corned beef sandwich on double fiber bread. 1 slice deli corned beef, 2 tsp lite mayo
Latte---FF SF
lunch: met up with Gary and went to Leo's Greek cafe. Split a gryos platter---1/2 pita, 2 slices gyro and 6 fries
snack: carb balance yogurt w/ cottage cheese
latte FF SF
dinner: mahi mahi, edamame salad, 2 tbs hash brown casserole
snack...2 bites of that dang apple pie...rest of the little slice went down the sink.
totals; cals: 1349 fat: 45 carbs 136 prot: 104
Hope you all are safe today with the bad weather coming in!

Susan,
You are so right, we must be accountable!!!
My Friday was good till dinner and then I bombed, but today has been a new day.
Friday we went to Texas to get 2 of my F-I-L's longhorns to bring back to his house. Was a great day, I was actually able to get out and walk around w/o getting short of breath, getting weak and stuff. I actually at one point was running back and forth, trying to head off a cow!!! Glad ya'll didnt see that, me running is toooo funny!!! Nothing graceful there.
Came home, cleaned up and went to see a classmate of mine that lives in MO, he comes home 2 times a year, we had a great time catching up, he was so impressed w/me, made me feel good since I have 30 pounds to lose after the steroids and free eating!! Glad a new week starts soon and the gym opens back up Monday.
Food wise was good, as I said, till dinner, but I'll be honest and confess all my sins!!
Wake up-Diet coke, too hot for coffee
Breakfast-2 slices whole wheat bread, FF mayo, 4 oz sausage patty (from homemade sausage, so very low fat)
Snack-2 oz roasted smoked almonds hickory flavor!!!
Lunch-1 egg, 3 bites ham, 1 bite biscuit and 2 bites of hashbrown (on the road)
Snack-2 oz of the almonds again
Diet Dr. Pepper
Bottle of water
More Diet Coke
Dinner- Mikey wanted steak and rings from Sonic, so I stopped and got 2 steak and ring specials, came home, and had this
Sandwich minus bottom bread and lettuce and tomato, so basically meat and one slice of toast, and I ate 1/4 of this, then I had 4 onion rings and ranch dressing!!! This took an hour to eat, as I was playing a game and eating at the same time. Fed the dog the rest of it, cuz I began to feel really really guilty.
Today (Saturday) is a new day, and Im being super good today!!!
Hope eveyone is safe and happy and healthy.
Come on out and confess, we love you no matter what!!!
Hugs,
Rhonda D.

I was obviously really hydrated yesterday. LOL (I got up and went shopping the day after xmas sales at 4... so I didn't want to eat lunch too soon and be without a meal left to eat at night. So I drank a lot between breakfast and lunch.)

Back to logging every day.

I use myfitnesspal.com. Very flexible and you can put your own foods into memory including nutritional values if they aren't already in the data base. Really helps if you eat the same things again and don't we all do that. Other good ones I have heard about include fitday.com and the dailyplate.com. These are very valuable tools, especially after you start to eat more stuff. They really help to make sure you get enough proteins and balanced carbs and fats each day. They are really good planning tools as well as tracking tools. At first you will use it to make sure you get enough protein, then later to keep everything in proper balance. Some are on-line only and some have options for on-line or software applications for your PC. You may want to visit several of them to decide what you like best. Great idea to start tracking right from the start.
Worked on Friday. Was busy visiting with my son and d-i-l before leaving for work and forgot to drink my protein powder laced cup of coffee. Got to work and had half a pancake wrapped around a link of sausage after trying to squeeze out as much grease as possible on a napkin and only ate half of that. lunch was horrible, I ate 8 small fried shrimp that made me sick and I deserved that, lol. Supper was a few bites of a small dab of grits with a soft set pam fried egg and a few bites of ham. Later for a snack I ate a few more wheat thins with cheese spread on them. I am finding it hard to eat regularly lately. Food just isn't really appealing to me lately. Is that normal at this stage? I am getting in all of my supplements. Doing horrible on my water and exercise though. I didn't journal for the past week or so. I'm getting back on schedule today though.
