I know I did a no-no and ate 5 times today as opposed to 4.  But I made blueberry protein muffins and wanted to try one while they were warm.  So I'm beating myself up over that.  I have to get back on the straight and narrow.  Too many "strays" off the beaten path lately for my comfort.

Confession is good for the soul, right?  Wendy, you feel bad about having 5 meals...well, I only had one. ONE BIG LONG, GRAZING ALL DAY MEAL.   There you have it, folks, guess I'm only human. Here's my take on Christmas Day

lattes---3, all FF, over the course of the day, again

bkfst:  7:30.  Knew the kids wouldn't be here until 11:30 or so...and they're always late, so brunch was going to be lunch, so might as well have breakfast.   Breakfast burrito (ww tortilla, 1/4 c eggbeaters, 2 tbs turkey breakfast sausage)

brunch/lunch    Quiche, 1/2 slice, made with eggbeaters, 2% cheese, vegetarian chicken (texturized vegetable protein, no fat) 1/4 croissant, hash brown casserole( again, eggbeaters, 2% cheese)

snack:  2 midget sweet pickles, 1 deviled egg

snack:  2 tbs pimento cheese (NOT 2% cheese by ANY stretch of the imagination) on ww crackers (4)
snack:  chocolate chip rice crispy cookies.

snack, another cookie

snack, yes, another cookie.

total:   cals:  1721  fat 78  carb;  182  pro 76

Sent all the extra food home with DS and DIL. Still have a whole apple pie in the fridge. Might just toss that puppy into the trash as is. Will do my self confidence good.  Thankfully, today is better!!!!

Cooked all morning, made homemade rolls, beef loin roast, steamed asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes, gravy, spinich, cranberry, and almond salad, cauliflower with white sauce, pumpkin pie, english toffee, peanut brittle.  It was really strange doing all of that cooking and not tasting it but luckily I had lots of taste testers, lol.  By the time it was all said and done, I sat down and ate a few bites of salad, a few bites of beef, and an asparagus spear.  I had protein powder in my coffee for breakfast and then snacked on some cheese ball and wheat thins also.  I made the whole cheese ball with fat free cream cheese, fat free cheddar cheese, and the rest of the ingredients (green onion, carrott, peppers, and some seasonings) and fed it to the crowd and they had no clue they were eating healthy.  My son is preparing for his next phase in his interviews with the FBI and is really watching his diet.  He and his lovely wife were her for 7 days.  We really enjoyed meeting her.  I think he picked a winner.  He was playing with my Wii fit and got hooked so we ran out and picked one up for them. He and his wife are joggers.  He is working on an exercise regimen that will help him pass the physical without any problems.  He has been training 3 x wk at jujitsu (spelling?) for over 4 years now so one would think he is in pretty good shape anyway but he says it's not the same.  Anyway, it was a wonderful day and I hope everyone else had a good one too.  We were down to the wire and just finishing laying the floor in the living room as they were pulling up  the drive, lol.  Never did get the Christmas tree up so we threw lights on the 6 ft pony tail plant we have and called it done.  Oh, he never did beat all of my high scores on the Wii fit, by the way :).
