Finally Friday!

Good morning all.  Friday is finally here!  It's been a really hectic week.  It is really strange going through the holidays and losing weight instead of gaining.  Ever since surgery I haven't even wanted anything sweet so all of the candy and such hasn't even bothered me this year.  It's getting awfully close to Christmas though and I still have 2 lbs to go to hit the 100 lb lost mark.  I got so depressed when I first stopped taking the Bumex and started gaining weight from the fluid that I actually made myself quit weighing for a while.  Things are looking up though.  My hair is growing back in already.  I have this short fuzz coming in all over.  The fingernails are looking better now that I'm taking my calcium supplements correctly, and my living room remodel should be finished this weekend.  What more could a girl ask for?

Thursday's food:

Breakfast:  Coffee with 2 scoops of protein powder

Lunch:  1/2 steak taquito with just enough tortilla to hold it together

Supper:  1/2 cup Salad with 2 oz cubed ham, 1/2 boiled egg and balsamic vinegar

Snack:  1/4 cup pinto beans

Hey Sybul,
What kind of protein powder have you found that mixes w/coffee?? Mine just clumps up on top, so i dont use it w/coffee??

Trying to remember yesterdays menu, but maybe I'll be close!!!

Breakfast-1/2 hoagie bun, 1 tsp s/f peach preserves, (god i love those things) and 1/2 slice of ham
Lunch-1/2 bbq sandwich, w/2 french fries, will NEVER go back there again
Dinner-My sweet hubby fixed baked sweet potatoes and fresh pork chops, i had one chop and 1/2 potato
Bedtime snack (2 am) 1/2 swansons pot pie, no crust

The steroids have me all messed up food wise, so I eat at strange times, hence the bedtime snack at 2 am.  When you cant sleep and you are STARVING, you must feed the hunger.
Hope to improve the eating when the prednisone goes away!!  I never said I was perfect, just honest!!!

Yeah, it is Friday!

B- Greek yogurt, tea w/ milk
S- wasa craker with brie and raspberry fruit spread
L- scrambled egg, cottage cheese and spinach with ozark seasoning from Penzy's.  This was delicious
D- Meatloaf and carrot souffle from Fresh Market- very good meatloaf, the carrot souffle was fantastic
