7 hours to go and I can't sleep.

I am due at the hospital at 5:30 AM and surgery is at 8 AM. I have tried to sleep and can't. I'm anxiety has set in!!! I'm not scared really, just anxious to get things going. If they would let me in right now I would go. In the past hour, I have started a load of laundry, cleaned the kitchen, even though it was already cleaned after dinner. Re-packed my hospital bag. I guess I'll conquer the kids bedrooms since they are gone for the rest of the week. Maybe that will pass my time. Uggh I hate this, I really wanted to rest before going, but oh well. Say a prayer or two for me in the morning. See you all on the losers bench real soon.

Since you can't sleep, I totally second the cleaning house plan.  After all, that way you won't have to worry about it post-op!  (And maybe if you don't sleep you will have an easily time sleeping in the hospital than you would have if you went in rested?)

There is an upside to everything - even not being able to sleep!

I'll be thinking about you tomorrow and should see you Thursday night!

Guess not sleeping helped me alot. I went to post-op surgery, got checked in, changed clothes, met anethesia Docs, they gave me some versad and that's all I remember. THey told me it would take the edge off until I went back inbout 30-40 minutes, well, i feel asleep, don't remember anything else until I woke up in my room. What a nice peaceful way to go to surgery, I bet all the surgery staff was wondering what was wrong with me, lol. Didn't even get to see Dr. Baker, but all went well as you saw when you guys came up. thanks for coming to see me.
