Sprinkling Sunday...

It was cold and sprinkled pretty much all day long here today.  But alas... I stayed fairly warm.

My son came home today.  The kids and I went to see Twilight which I have been waiting to go see only because I promised my son I'd wait to take him with me.  The kids loved it.  I thought the book was better, but it was just the kind of story where a book would have been better no matter what.

In any event, here was my intake for yesterday (Saturday)...

I'm glad the kids enjoyed Twilight.  Megan has been dying to see it, and I've been somewhat interested, too.  Meg said the actors that play Bella and Edward can't stand each other IRL, I wonder if that comes through in the movie?  And yes, having read the books, too, I can see that it would be hard to match them in film.

My whole body is sore today.  I don't know exactly why; it feels like I ran a dang marathon, though.  Hubby and I did a good bit of walking Friday when we went shopping, but otherwise I've been rather sluglike over the weekend.  Hmm.

I hadn't heard that about the actors not liking each other IRL and I've read every media article I've come across about Twilight and it's actors.  Maybe I missed it?

I don't think it came across in the movie.  In the movie, Edward and Bella both come across as odd (which is how they come across in the book - each of them very odd in their own ways).

I can tell you personally that I didn't like the actor that played Edward when I first started reading about him because he said the way he made it through the screen test was to knock back a couple of tequilas before doing the read through.  I'm not a prude, but I couldn't help but think... great... here's another guy who's going to be a teen role model who is stupid enough to tell us he throws back a few drinks to "help" himself be good for a role.  It really irked me.  But he must have gotten a image consultation since then because I haven't heard him say another thing like that since his very first enterview.  So I'm glad he's been polished up a little.

I like the actress playing Bella, but I find her to be somewhat odd IRL.  She just has kind of an awkward way about her IRL (which I guess is why she makes a good Bella).

My 14 year old son loved the movie and has since stolen my set of books and is going to read them.  My 11 year old daughter loved the movie so much that she said she wants it for her birthday on DVD.  It has no cursing, sex or gore (not really) in it either.  So I think overall it's a good kid's movie.  Just my opinion....

Well, the actors not liking each other was something Megan told me, so who knows where she heard it?  You know how teenagers are. ;-)  And yes, I agree, both Bella and Edward are rather odd.  I guess I should reread the first book, because the first time through, I had a hard time buying that they fell in love that fast.  Maybe I was reading too quickly!

Sad to say, but the Edward actor really doesn't do it for me; he's not at all how I pictured Edward in my mind, LOL!  I'm glad there's nothing objectionable about the movie, but I'm curious how things will unfold later, IYKWIM?

I agree with you.  They fell in love almost unbelievably quick in the book (and in the movie).

But I finally decided it was just one of those star-crossed, fated-to-be-together loves that happens rarely, you know?  It was almost like love at first sight.

Okay, I've heard lots about this Twilight book. One of my clients raves about the series and says it's like Harry Potter in that it's really meant to be an adolescents book, but adults love it too.  Maybe I should put it on my Xmas list....can't think of much anyway.

Yesterday we had a very productive day. The labels came in and we worked and worked to get them all on the proper bottles. Now we just have to get our business license and open a bank account and wait for the money to roll in....LOLLOLLOL

I read the books over the summer; they're not too bad.  Definitely a quick read to pass the time.  If you're not sure, see if you can get it from the library.  They've got tons of copies!

Woohoo for Saint Bella!  And SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!!!
