What's up Monday------ROLL CALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a really great client at home who had two wonderful boys and one monster of an ex. He moved to Montana and started contacting the boys when they were about juniors/seniors in high school. Somehow he convinced them, one at a time, that Mom was horrible and they should live with him. Eventually they both moved to live with him and she hasn't hear a peep from either one in 4-5 years now. It's so very sad because, like you, she's just the sweetest thing and only had they boy's best interests at heart. I always told her they'd come around someday to see what their father had done to them. Not so far though...very sad.
Sure hope things go as planned on Thursday!

Very short, just got home. Still very weak, very sick, but on the mend. Will be out of the loop for a day or 2 im sure. Hard to sit here, very nervous due to high doses of steroids. Hopefully this visit got rid of one later on.
Hope all is well, and I'll post soon.
Kinda down, got on the scales at the hospital and cried this morning, have gained a good deal of weight, and its scary, but on the freaking steroids, I have no options. Need to lose 30 pounds, so it will be a long stroke, but after I get off of all the meds that cause weight gain, Im gonna do the pouch test and reset everything!!!

It was good to talk to you this morning. After we spoke, the rest of my day was packed with work, then packed with cheer stuff for my daughter all night. (In fact, it's almost 9:30 and I'm just getting a minute to sit down.)

I read the forum almost everyday, but don’t have much to say or add. I have gotten great information from this forum and others. Thank you all for your information!
I will have my Lap RNY year anniversary November 19. Had my blood work drawn and see Doctor Baker Friday. I have lost 103 pounds but for the past month been going back and forth with a pound or two. I don’t know what’s going on, guess my body likes the weight I’m at now. I was hoping to lose 2 more pounds to put me at a normal BMI, but overall I’m happy with my weight. I’m so much healthier and happier with myself. My only wish is that I’d done it earlier. I’ve had a lot of NSV, but the ones that stand out are having my daughter sat beside me in the chair to watch TV (I use to fill the whole chair myself), getting a new drivers license and the clerk with confusion on her face turn the monitor around and ask if that was me in the picture and my husband telling me my butt looks good in those jeans.
Again, THANKS everyone for your support and sharing all your life ups and downs with us. I’m not too good at sharing about my life, but I’m thankful for those of you who are.

I'm still around. I do check in a lot but don't always have time to post. I promise I will try to do better. I am ok. I've lost 100 pounds. Yea!!! I go see Dr. Baker next Tuesday for my six month check up. I did my labs last month. Haven't heard from them, so I guess nothing too drastic was wrong. Find out Tuesday.
Had my grandaughter's birthday party this past Sunday. She just turned 2. So sweet. Anyway, while we had all the family and a few friends here, my DH decided, without me knowing, to celebrate me losing the 100 pounds. He and my daughter opened a bottle of wine and poured everyone a small glass. Just enough to tote. I was embarrassed. I don't take compliments very well. But he is so proud of me and my family is so supportive. I know he just wanted to share it with everyone. I drank about four small swallows. Then I was done. I've heard about the alcohol thing after having this kind of surgery. Didn't want to make a fool of myself at that time, I do enough of that without having alcohol as it is.
My daughter and my grandaughter are staying with us for right now. They have been here since May. She went through a divorce and is trying to get back on her feet. Her creep of a husband won't pay his child support, even though she went through the court. So I think that is fixing to play out. Looks like he is going to lose his drivers license and then probably his job. She has been letting him have her every other weekend. Then he is suppose to have her Thanksgiving weekend. But now she says she is thinking that she won't let him have her. I told her, then don't let him have her. She said it was in the divorce decree and I said, so is paying child support and he hasn't done that. She said she would have to go to court, and I said, uh uh, let him take you to court. He can't pay child support, how's he going to pay a lawyer. He didn't even have a lawer for the divorce. She is so afraid of him. I told her it is time to stop being nice. I don't know if we can just get that through her head.
Enough of that.
Got my hair cut this weekend at a beauty shop. First time I've been to a beauty shop in six years. And yes, I have been cutting my own hair all this time. I'm not too bad at it. My daughter helps with the back of it. But the arthritis in my shoulder just won't hardly let me lift my arms for that amount of time anymore. Anyway, told the girl how I wanted it cut. Didn't get what I wanted. And now I remember why I hate to go to the beauty shop. It is so short. But, the shorter my hair is, the faster it will grow out...lol. Won't go back to her again. She razor cut it all over. Never had my hair razor cut before. We shall see.
