What's up Monday------ROLL CALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay gang,

Wendy and I were talking today about how slow this board has gotten. What's the deal?  When I see someone post something and there are 45-55 viewings of the post, but only 3 responses, I wonder what's going on. I know I'm not the one to call the kettle black, haven't been posting much myself, but I'm trying to get better. 

There are a lot of people out there who we haven't heard from in a long time. We're not being nosy, just concerned. Maybe you're all just busy living your new lives and getting things done, but we'd love to hear about it!!

So, please take a minute and let us know how you are doing. You don't even have to post your food intake, just say HI.

Today I'm just doing some of the ususal day off errands and chores. Not much going on until the end of the week when our labels should (she says with her fingers crossed) be in. We have our first order for products from the owner of Glo, Limited where my DIL works. Very exciting!!!  Now we'll have the money to go replenish our supplies and get our spot on etsy.com up and running.

The resident male reporting in.   Everything is going pretty well here.  Had a good weekend at the craft show and sold quite a few of my new pens.  Sold mostly the more expensive ones this year.  Last year it was more of the less expensive ones.  Overall traffic at the show was down, but still had some good sales.  I had a large desk set made out of cocobolo wood that I thought two guys were going to come to blows over,  Figured I'd have that one in stock for a long time and it was the first thing to sell.  Who knows how to figure this stuff out.

Congrats Susan on your opening sale.  Hope there are many more on the way.

I'm with you on the many views and few posts concern.   It would be great to get more folks updating more often.   Gets a bit discouraging when there are so few replies.

I need to up my exercise and get the weight loss rolling again.   My intake remains good, but the pounds are really difficult to move these days.

Nothing much new at work.  Met with a rep from Verizon last week, but didn't get much new info.   Just have to hang on and wait, I guess.  I am not very good at that.  I like to know what is happening so I can plan accordingly.  Too bad they won't let me make the rules.

Anyone hear from Jan yet?   Hope all is well with the recovery.

No, there's no rhyme or reason to retail sales. Glad your show went well, it's encouraging for me.

Haven't heard from Jan, or Rhonda, who was in the hospital last week. Hope everything there is ok.  Jan was supposed to go home on Thursday, even threatened to come to support group. But if she did get out Thursday, I'm hoping she went home to her own comfy bed.

I guess  the few of us will just have to keep each other entertained.

Hi everyone, yes I'm a lurker, but I do read every post! Weight is at a standstill right now, I've been banded 4 months today and have had 2 fills, still not much restriction, my 3rd fill is scheldued for Jan 14th, wi**** was today.Ive been very busy lately, all 4 of our kids have birthdays in 3 weeks! 26,18,13 and 5. started a new step aerobics class 3 night s a week and can tell i'm firming up some of the flab that was going on with what i've lost.

Good for you for going to aerobics!!  That should help out while you wait for your next fill. Man, that will be hard with the holidays coming. I'm sure you'll be okay, though.

Hi -- from the Other Wendy.

Things here are okay.  I finally started my new position here at the old Red Cross, and it's going well.  Kids are okay, husband's okay (but still unemployed).

I've been feeling kind of down the last couple of weeks; I think I got dumped by my former best friend. :(  We used to hang out with her and her husband almost every weekend for over 5 years, then things started slowing down over the last year as I got sicker with my bp headaches and apnea, both undiagnosed at that time.  I guess I got boring, too. :P  She invited me to a puppy shower she was hosting a few months ago -- that was the day the tornados were blowing through so I didn't go -- but I mentioned that anytime in the next few weeks would be great and said how fun it would be to get together and she gave a half-hearted response.  Okay, fine, I'm not going to beg, I know you've got better offers... whatever.  Anyway, that's the last I've heard from her.  I've said hello on facebook, no response.  So yeah, I'm pretty hurt.

Other than that, I'm fan-freakin'-tastic.  Sorry to be such a downer today.

Glad the new job is going well, sorry to hear about DH though. What kind of work does he do? You know, I hear all sorts of things around the salon. That's how my DS got his lead on the job with Blue Cross.

Lots of friendships are lost along with weight. People have a hard time identifiying with our new way of life and appearance.

Not really sure I could be friends with someone who had a shower for a new puppy.....LOL

Keep your chin up....you have lots of NEW friends now!

Hi guys.  Nice to see the posts.  Also nice to see another lap-bander!!!  I'm still healing and have to take it a little easier with the walking than I'm use to, but soon I'll be ready.   I can't wait to get a fill and hopefully then the weight will start to really fall off!!

Things here are ok..pretty well actually, considering...  Having some issues with my older stepson and his teenage attitude and now all of the sudden, the stepsons' mother, who hasn't seen them or even spoken to them on the phone for the past 5 years,  is writing letters telling them how much she loves them and wants them to live with her in Ohio, ugh... dealing with that plus my son's father decided he doesn't have to pay child support anymore or see his son.  Life would be easier without ex's
I am past ready for my 2nd fill this Thursday..I am keeping my fingers crossed they don't cancel me again.  I'm just maintaining my weight..up a couple down a couple..etc...
Ok..I'm finished with my fussing...
