mornin' all,
The election is over and the sun came up this morning.   Life goes on without all of the silly election ads - yippee!
Hope everone is doing well and eating well.
The Alltel deal was approved as expected by the FCC yesterday, so now we wait for closing of the sale (likely to take another 6 weeks or so) and then ????????????  Meanwhile, now maybe some of those folks around here who thought nothing had changed will realize that we aren't continuing as we were.  I'm still hoping for a retirement package instead of just severence, so keep the prayers going.  That would certainly provide me with much more flexibility as to my future job - I'm not ready to quit working yet.

Well yesterday was one heck of a day. Talk about some stress snacking! I hate the elections. Why does it have to be such a big deal? Oh yea, because it's our frickin leader! ugh...

B: Kay's Natural Honey Almond Protein Cereal & 1/2 C milk
S: Smart pop popcorn AND 2 pieces of starburst(grrrr)
L: Peach Harvest Yogurt & Kay's Natural Lemon Herb Protein Chips
S: 2 more starbursts(GRRRRR) & Whole Grain Saltines w/2% cheese
D: Tilapia & Green Beans
~~totals around 1200 cals...YIKES!~~

The good news is that I have a massive pot of deer chili going at the house and I have had 0 snacks for today. Today WILL be a better day.

I'll be praying for your retirement package and I'll pray for my sanity to return. You are right about no more campaign ads. Instead, I get to hear every.single.person that can talk discussing the election. there are headlines in the newspaper, my homepage, message boards, EVERYWHERE! Please make the election go away...oh and take the politics with it

MMMMM!!!! Deer chili - great protein and low fat.  sounds really good.  By the way, is this from a deer harvested with your new bow?

No, the hub killed it a week and a half ago. I haven't been back to the woods since opening weekend because of schedule conflicts, but we are supposed to go this Sunday. He wants me to use the muzzleloader for better range though. We'll just see...lol.

Hi everyone! Got to be a quick post because I have students coming back in a few minutes!

B- I slice of turkey bacon

L- three bites of tuna mixed with light mayo and one wheat thin

Snack- 1 pink starburst

D- about 5 bites of chili

See, I told you I would start to be able to eat a little more before too long! Still not getting enough protein but I will survive! I'm taking all my vitamins and getting plenty of fluids!

Thanks Steve! I was a little hesitant at first about allowing them to put it on there but then I thought about how I looked at all those pictures when I was considering my surgery and how they inspired me so I decided to allow them to put it on there in hopes of being able to return the favor to someone! Anyway, thanks again for your kind words! It means a lot to me!

Sorry I just got a second to respond but hope I'll have more time to update tomorrow and this weekend.  Everything is good here!  (It's just SUPER-SCARY-BUSY!!!)  I miss all y'all too!  I will try to take time to actually update (blog and all) this weekend - tomorrow if I have time!
